Sidney Pitillo is A.J. Schmidt Elementary School’s Kind Kid of the Month for February
Sidney received a “Shout Out” from Miss Salansky for “always having a positive attitude and wishing the best to all her peers.” She loves school because she enjoys seeing her friends and teachers. Her favorite subjects are art and science. Sidney was recently “Student of the Week” in her classroom for being nice to her peers and saying “hi” to everyone.
Outside of school, Sidney enjoys drawing, doing crafts, and going places with her family. She learned how to be a good friend from her family because they are very kind to her. Her friends and teachers are also very kind to her. She wants to be in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) or an artist when she grows up. Sidney loves spending time with her friends. She also loves sloths. Her favorite foods are Maria’s Pizza and broccoli.
Sidney believes that being kind means “having a positive attitude and always being nice even if you are in a bad mood.” She believes that showing kindness is important because when you are kind to other people, they will be kind back. Also, Sidney said, “When you are kind, people notice and you can be the ‘Kind Kid of the Month’ too!” Sidney’s advice to other kids about being kind is to “try your hardest to be nice to others and to be the best person you can all the time.” Being kind makes Sidney feel very happy and loved. Teachers can encourage others to be kind by showing them examples of ways of being kind. Sidney loves to show kindness!
Sidney is pictured here with her favorite teacher, Mrs. Carroll.
