Limitless Cattle Co
We (Jordan & Annie) have been breeding black Simmental’s since 2018, after visiting some Simmental breeders in the USA and seeing their potential we decided to incorporate the breed into our breeding program alongside the Angus herd.
Due to the lack of such offering in the hills, and our love and passion for the two breeds, we decided to expand the stud, maintaining the focus on breeding Simmental Angus hybrid cross bulls. An offering of stud sire quality ET full blood Simmental & Angus bulls will be available in future.
This year Limitless have 6 cross bred bulls that we are thrilled to put up along side BoonARKM’s offering of bulls. All of which are differing percentages of Simmental and Angus, varying form 25% Simmental Angus to 75% Simmental Angus. Something to suit all programs.
Many hours have been spent travelling the country and internationally, selecting the right type of cows and sires to fit our market that can bring what they believe is the best of the black Simmental and Angus breed.
2022 has been a pivotal year with the new genetics we have invested in to add to the power of our program. Functional, sound and productive.
The most recent of these purchases was a PTIC Angus female out of Pine Creek’s Festive Female sale in December 2022 for $14k the equal 3rd highest price female of the sale. We love the style and overall capacity of this female, and a pedigree stacked with star studded genetics. What’s not to love.
We also purchased a ‘Sassy’ female from Woonallee Simmental’s female sale in February and a ‘NLC Gen Ten’ daughter from the 50 lots for 50 years special Woonallee female sale in November, as well as an ET ‘Upgrade’ female and ‘Olivia’ female, both selected and purchased privately from the Woonallee herd. These females we believe represent the breed to a tee. We have also invested in a number of embryos out of some of Australia’s most respected Simmental and Angus breeders, our first batch of embryos are due to calve this autumn, with another batch to be implanted this may for calving 2024.
We are excited to have our top ‘Dream’ Angus cow in the donor pen this year, with flushes too MM Paratrooper and Knowla So Right in the pipe line once she calves down. These embryos will be implanted in our herd of recipents to rear for claves that will sell in 2025. These will be exciting and are definitely once to watch out for.
Last year we had the honour to showcase our Simmental’s in the 50 year celebration at 2022 feature Royal Sydney show. One of the most prestigious competitions in the country. We were thrilled to be awarded Champion middle weight Simmental steer and Grand Champion Simmental steer in the special Simmental steer show, our pure bred black steer went on to win a silver medal on hook in the open purebred competition.
We are extremely proud of our very productive herd of black Simmental and Angus cows that form a base for our cross breeding program.
All our bulls are registered with the Simmental or the Angus society.
