Welcome to our 39th Annual Bull Sale

On behalf of our family we extend a warm invitation to join us at our 39th Annual Sale. Once again sale day will involve a home made morning tea fit for a king, Chris and his coffee van, and the big smoker fired up serving mouth watering brisket burgers cooked low and slow. A reminder of our open day on Sat Aug 5th where the bulls and heifers will be lot branded and available for viewing.

We have made some great changes to our sale shed and sale day experience. All lots will be videoed in July and shown on large screens whilst being auctioned on sale day. The bulls will stay happily in their pens during the sale (not run through the ring) and the sale shed will be fully enclosed from the weather.

We have launched our new logo and branding that better reflects our passion and commitment to innovation, not just to our genetic offering, but to our operation as a whole. I invite you to take a few minutes to look around our new website.

We specialise in breeding high performance bulls that possess exceptional genetics, superior confirmation for longevity, and outstanding temperament so as to drive profitability in our clients commercial herds.

Our 2023 Sale bulls have navigated our rigorous selection process and comprise 82 2yo bulls, 43 true yearling bulls, and a classed line of 80 commercial EU yearling heifers, suitable for a spring joining. See page 3 for more information on our sale lineup.

The past 12 months have seen changes in our enterprise. Our prime lamb operation is scaling back to make way for growth and a greater emphasis on our seedstock and commercial cow herds. This decision was for a number of reasons, including detailed benchmarking over many years showing the very high profitability (top 1%) of our commercial Angus cow/calf operation.

Genetics aside, it’s also been a big 12 months for our properties and team. We have baseline soil tested all farms as part of our Soil Carbon Project, planted 250 acres of new annual and permanent pasture, trialed lots of new pasture species, planted 8,000 trees and shrubs, and installed significant water infrastructure and water monitoring systems. We are upskilling in our pasture measurement and grass budgeting, pushed stocking rate and grown our on farm team with the addition of Anna Kemph who has taken on office responsibilities including social media and marketing.

Finally, we thank Dan and Cody, who are our eyes and ears and our biggest assets.
