Plan

About: This is a multiview drawing practice of a building that I choose.
Strengths: Doing this practice helped me develop my multiview drawing skill and observe the details of a building.
Weaknesses: I had no idea what’s inside the building and some details outside are hard to see.
Opportunities: I can learn more architectural designs and the way to sketch a building in different perspectives. 4
Risk: I might get lost and don’t know how a building construct with.
Week 3: tiny house ¼” =1’ Plan + Full Scale
First Floor Plan

Second Floor Plan

First Floor Plan Drawing
About: Tapping the plan of the tiny house that we designed on the floor.
Strengths: This project improved our teamwork and know the real size of the building that we designed.
Weaknesses: Not sure if the actual size works. Opportunities: The bathroom could be smaller. Risks: We can’t get out of the grid with regular designs. 7
Week 4: SketchUp Arraytools - Square tiles
8
About: Using a lot of tiles to form a massive squire. Strengths: Able to duplicate an object efficiently, which is convenient.
Weaknesses: Hard to make changes for a few of them Opportunity: Modeling a building needs a lot of duplicating and this practice makes it easy
Risks: Won’t have much chance to use a lot of tiles to build a bigger shape. 9
Week 4: SketchUp Array Tools - Trellis
10
About: 1. Duplicating an object to create one large shape. 2. Using tiles to create a trellis.
Strengths: To put objects in groups and duplicate them. Weaknesses: I had problem with putting the tiles together at first. Opportunities: I hope I will able to design a complex building by duplicating and putting tiles together.
Risks: I might be confuse about the groups and components.
11
Week 5: SketchUp patterns and material
About: Creating squires with different patterns. Strengths: Can create patterns using your imagination.
12
Weaknesses: Hard to use on non-rectangular place. Opportunities: Can apply on an objects or places with patterns.
Risks: Easy to mess up
13
Week 5-8: Individual Tiny House Project
14
15
Front
About: A project to design a tiny house individually and present with a plot.
Strengths: Able to use my own creativity to design a tiny house and my own plot. 16
Back
Weaknesses: Limited with the size of a tiny house.
17
18
Sketch
Opportunities: Using the experience to design other structures.
Risks: It took me a long time to design a structure; I need more experience.

Improved tool
Exploded axon (Improved tool) About: Create a 3D model of a tool found at home and a improved version of the tool.
Strengths: Able to create a 3D model of a tool that I choose and improve it using my creativity.
Weaknesses: Some tools are hard to model. Opportunities: I can be better at modeling different objects. Risks: It’s hard to find ideas for every tool. 21
Week 10-14 Mid-Century Modern Architecture Cathedral Of Brasillia (Improved version)
Original building
Elevation 1
About: This is a 3D modeling project to do research of a building we choose (Cathedral of Brasillia) and make a 3D model of the building. The project is consists with three parts: 1. Analysis, finding information of the building we choose in group. 2. Modeling existing, model the building in group. 3.Model 21st Century ver, using the existing model of the building and create a improved model. 22

Sketch Strengths: I learned to observe a building and build a model out of it. I also have more ideas about modern architecture.
Weaknesses: Some buildings are hard to model Opportunities: I have more experience of how an architect construct a building.
Risks: It’s not easy to find the problem of a building.
