Logo Logo Viet Cpital là hai dải xanh, đỏ quyện vào nhau diễn tả sự tập trung tiền tệ và sự luân chuyển của nguồn vốn. Họa tiết đơn giản, uyển chuyển thể hiện sự năng động, sáng tạo và tầm hiểu biết sâu sắc về thị trường. Dải màu xanh đại diện cho Viet Capital; Dải màu đỏ tượng trưng cho khách hàng với triết lý: Kiến thức, kinh nghiệm, sự năng động và vững vàng của Viet Capital mang đến thành công và thịnh vượng của khách hàng. Slogan “Your capital Capitalized” Bằng cách ngắt nhịp độc đáo, ý tứ câu chữ sâu sắc và sự liên tưởng trực quan về hình ảnh, câu slogan đã thể hiện được vị thế đứng đầu khi chữ “capital” đại diện cho Viet Capital được trang trọng được viết hoa (“Capitalized”). Với biện pháp láy từ “capital” và “Capitalized”, câu slogan ngụ ý nói đến “vốn” (“capital”), nói đến thị trường “vốn” là nói đến Viet Capital. Câu slogan cũng gửi đến những khách hàng của Viet Capital thông điệp về sự sinh sôi, nảy nở của những đồng vốn khi khách hàng tin tưởng giao phó. Khi khách hàng giao phó vốn (“capital”) cho Viet Capital thì đồng vốn đó tăng trưởng gấp đôi (“Capitalized”). Supergraphic Là một trong bốn tứ linh (long, lân, quy, phụng) và là vua của các loài chim, Phượng hoàng là biểu tượng của sức mạnh kiên cường và vĩnh cửu nhưng cũng không kém phần linh hoạt và khéo léo… Trong Phong Thủy, thân hình của phượng hoàng gợi lên năm đức tính của con người: đầu tượng trưng cho đức hạnh, đôi cánh tượng trưng cho tinh thần trách nhiệm và nghĩa vụ, chiếc lưng tượng trưng cho cách đối nhân xử thế khéo léo, bộ ngực là lòng nhân đạo, lòng trắc ẩn và phần bụng biểu thị sự đáng tin cậy. Clear Space Thể hiện logo với một khoảng cách đúng đắn so với các yếu tố xung quanh là rất quan trọng trong việc tạo ấn tượng mạnh mẽ cho thương hiệu Viet Capital. Khi thể hiện logo, cần đảm bảo tính nổi bật của logo bằng khoảng trống thích hợp xung quanh, nhờ vậy logo sẽ không bị ảnh hưởng bởi các yếu tố khác (những ký tự, hình ảnh, chi tiết đồ họa,v.v…). Khi thể hiện logo, cần thiết phải tạo một khoảng cách không gian xung quanh để duy trì tính nổi bật của logo. Vui lòng tham khảo những quy tắc về khoảng cách trình bày tối thiểu phía bên dưới đây. Hãy duy trì một khoảng không gian tối thiểu bằng X xung quanh logo, trong đó X chiều cao logotype (dòng chữ Viet Capital)

Logo’s Color Màu của logo đóng một vai trò rất quan trọng trong việc nhận diện thương hiệu và tăng cường sự nhận thức của khách hàng với thương hiệu. Chính vì vậy màu cũng quan trọng không kém hình dáng của logo. Màu biểu tượng của thương hiệu, đã được xác định chuẩn mực và lúc nào cũng phải được tuân thủ nghiêm ngặt trong tái sản xuất để duy trì tính nhất quán của thương hiệu. Khi không thể trình bày màu quy định từ một màu riêng lẻ, các bạn có thể dùng các giá trị thay thế bằng cách pha màu in theo các thông số như đã đính kèm. Việc tái sản xuất màu có thể sai biệt tùy thuộc các điều kiện in. Thông số màu nguyên bản phải sử dụng chính xác, đảm bảo không có bất kỳ sự thay đổi nào trong quá trình sản xuất logo.

Color Usage Trong các trường hợp - do bởi những giới hạn in ấn, truyền thông hay vật liệu - không thể trình bày logo trên nền chuẩn, hãy vui lòng tham khảo biểu đồ dưới đây. Mục đích của biểu đồ này là nhằm đảm bảo mức độ tương phản thích hợp giữa logo và phần nền của nó, nhờ vậy logo sẽ nổi bật và dễ được nhận biết. Khi phông nền có màu xám, nên chọn màu của logo sao cho vẫn duy trì được mức độ tương phản đầy đủ giữa màu của logo và phần nền bên dưới. Việc sử dụng logo bằng màu quy định sẽ bị giới hạn trong những trường hợp phông nền có màu đen từ 10% đến 40%. Vui lòng tham khảo biểu đồ bên khi chọn màu cho logo.

Rubber plantation is a kind of limited natural resource of Vietnam, which is of a high demand of usage in many industries: tire industry and medical appliances, etc. The world will use more natural rubber. Recently saw a jump in oil price causing the soar in synthetic rubber. People will switch to natural rubber consequently. Phuruco has a planting area of 15,000 ha and a harvesting area of 13,000 ha, largest compared to the three publicly traded rubber companies. The runner-up Doruco has 8,000 ha for harvesting. Margin is relatively low compared to peer group due to lower quality of planted land. Productivity of 1.9 tons/ha is medium compared to the whole industry and a bit lower than listed peers. Starting price of VND 36,000 is interestingly low, implying a P/E of 12.x and an EV/ha of 0.2 bn, much lower than the industry average of 20.x and 0.5 respectively.

Discussions in the Meeting: The discussion section of the meeting occurred smoothly with most questions concerning the company’s financial investment (stock and real estate) and export market. There was only 1 unsatisfied answer about the earning target set by BOD that is claimed to be too low according to Vina Capital and other institutions. Their argument was that the VND 1,700 bn proceeds from last year issuance alone will generate a minimum 170 bn if deposited in a bank assuming a 10% interest rate. This will leave the other 100 bn of earning to core business, which is too low. Management explain that the 1,700 bn will partly sponsor real estate and working capital with only some proportion left for short term investment. This allocation, according to management, looks at the future long-term growth rather than a situational strategy. We agree.

PERFORMANCE • TRC posted an underperformed Q1 with 14% and 42% y-o-y decline in sale and net income respectively. According to the company’s management, the Q1 report does not reflect any fundamental change rather than accounting treatment and cost allocation. The real Q1 earning is 45 billion but about 20 billion will be allocated to Q2 report. We buy this.

We call it “good” because for such business like rubber plantation, by its nature, we do not expect any jump in production volume due to planted area constraint. And significant improvement of productivityanother factor of the formula (Production Volume = Productivity x Hectare) is what will take us a decade to witness. • …and rocketing rubber price as a strong correlation to crude oil price even makes it better. Our statistics indicates that there has been an increase of over 20% in rubber price year-todate and 35% compared to last year average. Every other thing held constant, a 35% increase in revenue will expand earnings before tax by 97%. (% increase in EBT = % increase in sale / EBT margin) • But increase in sale will not go all the way down to earnings…since labor cost will not stay there but instead fixed at 40% of revenue and other input costs also went up fast early this year. As such, our model yields a profit after tax of VND 222 billion as a base case, indicating a 30% y-o-y growth. • …and such a growth pattern is not sustainable since 2009. We, like many other people, can not tell whether or not the price of crude oil will continue to climb up. Neither do we about rubber. But it is likely that the recession of the world economy will badly hit the auto industry, the major rubber consumer. And rubber price will not go up, of course, given such a significant drop in demand. • Our DCF valuation yields a range from VND 62.00074,000 based on the assumption that the average rubber price for 2008 is VND 42M/ton, a 14% discount to the current price.

Economic Updates GDP Growth The second quarter has observed a tireless effort from the government in stabilizing various macroeconomic factors at the same time. The tightening fiscal and monetary policies started cooling down the economy growth at the increasing rate. GDP growth slumped into 5.6% in quarter II, pulling the first half growth down to 8-year-low of 6.5% since the year 2000. According to experts’ opinion, the pain is just at the beginning stage. The only positive point, if any, in such somber days is that such pain is anticipated and believed to be essential for long term growth. As government investment was cut down and interest rate was raised to catch up with inflation, all companies found themselves struggling in either increasing revenue or financing expansion projects. Furthermore, a sudden shock in USD supplied starting from June 10th, has depreciated VND deeper than ever against USD, reaching peak on June 19th with ask price of VND 19.600/USD, quoted by most commercial banks. Such 18% gap between actual and official rate, although lasted in just a day, is an extraordinary event for a USDpegged monetary system like Vietnam. Although it was finally over due to the government reaction and speculators are mainly accused, the consequence was still there for all companies with high import volume (it is estimated that the average FX rate during that 20 days storm was 18.200 vs. current normal rate of 16.800, which mean a approximately 8% add-up directly to input cost or exchange gain/loss).

In contrast with the stories brought by GDP growth and FX rate, the CPI and FDI have been lightening the economy with their figures. CPI has been pushed down to 1.1% from the peak of 3.9% in May. The government has further strengthened their commitment toward CPI control through ceiling price setting, subsidy and speculation banning.

Quỹ Đầu tư Chứng khoán Y tế Bản Việt (Quỹ VCHF) sẽ tiếp tục mở rộng và đầu tư tập trung vào bốn lĩnh vực chính là dược phẩm, bện viện và cơ sở chẩn đoán y khoa kỹ thuật cao, thiết bị y tế và thực phẩm chức năng. Đây là quyết định được thông qua tại đại hội nhà đầu tư lần thứ hai hồi giữa tháng 5 vừa rồi của Quỹ này. VCHF là một quỹ thành viên được thành lập vào tháng 1-2008 do Công ty cổ phần Quản lý Quỹ Đầu tư Chứng khoán Bản Việt (Viet Capital) quản lý với quy mô vốn trong giai đoạn đầu là 500 tỷ đồng. Theo ông Phạm Gia Tuấn, Giám đốc Điều hành Quỹ VCHF, đại hội nhà đầu tư của Quỹ cũng đã thảo luận và thông qua chiến lược đầu tư trong thời gian tới, trong đó tập trung vào các doanh nghiệp đang hoạt động hoặc sắp thành lập trong lĩnh vực dược phẩm, khám chữa bệnh, thiết bị y tế, thực phẩm chức năng, đang nắm giữ những vị trí hàng đầu trên thị trường hoặc có tiềm năng phát triển cao và bền vững. Ông Tuấn cho rằng các lĩnh vực đầu tư mà Quỹ VCHF hướng đến đều có tính tăng trưởng ổn định về dài hạn.
