Seafood lovers will be thrilled to know that local California spiny lobster is in season beginning in October and spotlighted at Water Grill Santa Monica. Not only is the menu overflowing with fresh and delectable items from the sea, but dining at one of the Westside’s favorite hot spots multiplies the feasting experience.

Located on bustling Ocean Avenue, Water Grill offers indoor and outdoor dining against the backdrop of palm trees that line Palisades Park. Signature cocktails like the Maritime Mule or the Margarita Verde are the prelude to an evening filled with a hip ambiance, lots of fresh ocean air and a captivating epicurean line-up.

Appetizers range from Applewood Smoked Bacon Clam Chowder to Roasted Halibut Tail and Wild Local Bluefin Tuna Poke.

The menu features a raw bar with Eastern and Pacific options and an array of oyster samples served with fresh horseradish, mignonette, cocktail sauce, and habanero-lime relish. Chilled shellfish include Large Channel Island Sea Urchins, Wild Barents Sea Red King Crab Nuggets and Wild Littleneck Clams.

Live Australian Spiny Lobster and whole fish like the Dover Sole are just two of the popular entrees available, while landlubbers can try the 20 oz. Prime Split-Bone Cowboy Rib Eye or the Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger.
