Village Park
Quinta do Conde Ecological Corridor
The opening of the village park was an historical moment in Quinta do Conde. It not only enhanced the life quality of the residents, but also represented the first step on an ambitious project, which is the ecological corridor of Quinta do Conde. With an area of approximately 20 thousand square meters this green space gathers a set of equipments destined to sports and leisure, such as an amphitheater, a playground, resting areas, maintenance equipment's and a cafeteria.
Skate Park
Since 2013, Quinta do Conde has a Skate park, this project brought continuity to the requalificaton of the Ecological corridor. Located near the village park in a 1200 m2 area, the Skate park has been attracting practitioners from all the region. It was idealized by Francisco Lopez an Architect who practiced Skate for more than 25 years.
Ribeira Park
With an area of 40 thousand square meters, the riverside park takes advantage of the lake's created by the riverside as well as the several plant species that exist on site, especially some large trees that create shade. The park is an environmental area with lots of natural resources of fauna and flora, complemented by equipments that allow pedagogical activities regarding environmental education, bird observation and outdoor activities.
The city hall is promoting a series of projects in order to requalify and enrich the ecological corridor of Quinta do Conde. The opening of the Riverside Park, in September 2013, and the first stage of the "solidarity gardens", in June this year, are some examples of an investment which is very important on the environmental point of view and it's also a strong contribution to the development of Quinta do Conde.
he valorization of the ecological corridor from Quinta do Conde, is an old ambition that pretends to take advantage of the area's natural condition's to develop a green area of excellence. The first step given to consolidate this idea was given in 2008, with the opening of the village park, which rapidly became a place searched by thousands of people. More recently, the opening of the riverside park, gave continuity do the work already developed, taking advantaged of small lakes formed by the riverside, as well as the existing vegetation.
After this, progress was made by the implementation of the "Solidarity Gardens", winners of the EDP Solidarity program in 2013. This project pretends, essentially, to promote the biological agriculture as a leisure activity or an economical complement to families and local non-governmental organizations. The future intention's are to create more areas favorable to the practice of sports and leisure. It's an ambitious e complex objective, that began a dream, but know it's being achieved step by step.

Vรกrzea Ecological Park
The ecological park of Vรกrzea, in Quinta do Conde, is located in a moist area contiguous to the riverside, it's mainly an agricultural area, and occupies an area of approximately 112 thousand square meters. The space will be enriched with an agricoltural and environmental center, within the Solidarity Gardens project, picnic areas, a track for synchronized flight model airplanes, and several walking routes, which together will make this park a reference in all the region, and contribute to involve the community in preserving and valuing the natural patrimony.
Solidarity Gardens
The Solidarity Gardens are the outcome of an application made by the Town Hall to the EDP Solidarity program 2013. The price was an important financial help with allowed the first stage of the project to begin with 61 installments in the Ecological park of Vรกrzea. This project pretends to promote the biological agriculture as a leisure activity or an economical complement to families and local non-governmental organizations.
