Reject certain calls • If you find yourself being stalked or receiving unwanted calls nuisance calls from people or companies then you should use the Call rejection mode. • Simply go to Settings – My device – Call – Call rejection. From here you can manage your rejection list of numbers.
Save battery in GPS mode • Having GPS on your device is great, but it does slowly chew through your battery life. • Fortunately there is a way to improve this in recent version of Android. Pull down your notifications screen from the top of the phone. Then press and hold on GPS. Then select Mode – Power Saving.
Allow swear words in voice recognition By default, your phone will recognise swear words, but insert x’s instead of the word. To change this, go to Settings – My Device – Language and input – Voice Search – Then untick Block offensive words.
Enable auto App updates • Android has a feature allowing you to update Applications automatically. This is turned off by default, but you can turn it on. • Open the Play Store App and press the Menu icon in the top left of the App. Then select Settings and Auto-update apps. • From here you can chose to do this over WiFi only or using your Data connection.
