On behalf of the AnMed Foundation Board of Trustees, thank you for being part of the 29th annual Camellia Ball. The very first Camellia Ball was organized in 1994 by a group of committed community volunteers. For 29 years, countless sponsors, volunteers, and community partners like you have joined us in the commitment to improving healthcare in our community. With this outstanding support, we have raised over $4 million for the benefit of AnMed patients and their families. As we reflect on the past 29 years, we extend our deepest gratitude to all of the people who have helped the Camellia Ball flourish into the premier philanthropic event of the Electric City. The Beneficiary of the 2023 Camellia Ball will highlight AnMed’s Women’s Care and Children’s Outreach Programs, including the renovation of the in-patient Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby Unit. On behalf of our family, it is a privilege for Luis and I to chair tonight’s 29th annual Camellia Ball. With a nod to Luis and in celebration of his Cuban heritage, we believe “Havana Nights” will be enjoyed by everyone. Our inspiration for this evening is rooted in flavorful food, exquisite music, and festive dancing. Our hope is that you create memories tonight that will last a lifetime. Our story is centered in our belief and unwavering love for our community. Anderson is where we met, were married, and now raise our children. Sophia (8), Elaine (8) and Lillian (4) received exceptional care when they arrived at AnMed so we are delighted tonight’s event will provide additional resources to meet the greatest health care need for Women’s and Children’s outreach services in our community.
