Start with your desired object and think about where you
to create your holes which parts would be easiest to puncture without breaking the size of your jump ring for fitting how you want the object to hang

Keep in mind that some objects may require other jewelry materials (like stud posts, wire, eye pins, et cetera). You might have to get creative and go beyond the scope of this zine!

CREATE THE HOLES
Some objects (especially paper ones) are easy enough to puncture using only a safety or push pin.
With some materials, you may find it easier to create a hole by dipping a pin into a flame and pushing it through the object. If you choose this route, be extra careful!
For many objects, though, it may be best to use a small hand drill.
USING A HAND DRILL
1. Mark the spot where you want to drill (at least mentally)
2. Place something sturdy (like a piece of cardboard) under the object to avoid scratching any important surfaces
3. While applying steady pressure, swivel the drill to push through the material and create a hole
4. You may need to hold or lift the object during this process, but always avoid drilling in the direction of your hand!

Open up a jump ring using a pair of pliers if necessary.
Tip: It’s easier to rotate one side of the jump ring rather than to pull the sides apart.

Push the jump ring through the hole you just made in the object. While the ring is still open, add on a fish hook in the orientation that would best suite the object. Close the ring back up with your pliers. Repeat the steps above with your other object. is over NOW CONNECT ALL THE PIECES
