Annotation Strings
Piano
Play without vibrato.
Pay attantion to balance between strings and piano. Depending on acoustic it may be necessary to close a lid, in case it will sound too loud.
Muted tones: mute string with fingers/palm during playing There are no dyamical traditional indication in the piece. Dynamics will be caused by two parameters: bow pressure and bow moving speed:
Preparation for piano: string g must be prepared with “Blue Tack or kneaded eraser. Little piece of it must be placed on strings. Tone should not be changed, but muted (in a result the sound is similiar to viola).
Bow pressure: Additional staves indicate pressure on a bow: 5-point scale, where point 3 is normal pressure: 1 < 3 < 5. Speed of bow moving: - very slowly - slowly - slow-medium - fast-medium - fast - very fast - gradually accelerate speed of bow moving - gradually decelerate speed of bow moving s.t. - sul tasto s.p. - sul ponticello ord. - ordinario - gradually move to
Scordatura for cello: string - detune on about fourth lower
Clefs:
- one octave higher
- two octaves higher
