AIRCADE Imagining an airport as an urban street Novosibirskaya Oblast’ Russia Professor Braghieri | Professor Kaufmann Dr. Tzieropoulos | M. Rivolta Diploma Project Spring 2015
Interior View (photo of the model) Today the airports are no longer just gates to the cities; they have become an integral part of the urban puzzle. This project explores the life of the airport beyond the security control, proposing an urban street - a covered gallery - that connects different programs present in the complex machine called the aerodrome. Along this gallery we can find urban squares, accompanied by diverse programs, that mark the access to the concourse buildings. The variety of activities proposed strives to achieve the sentiment of the urbanity by being greater than in a traditional airport.

HORIZONTAL MÉTROPOLE HORIZONTALE METROPOLISIS Superstudio Lausanne Aggmomeration Switzerland Professor Vigano Master 3 Autumn 2014
Zone Planification Mapping. Tradition. Project. West Lausanne Region. In a group of 11 we have worked on a research to better understand the phenomenon of Horizontal Metropolis. The research was done in three parts on the industrialised urban tissue, a theme chosen after an extensive visit of the West Lausanne Region. First, Mapping, was a comparison of the two different territoires, on three different scales, that manifested the phenomenon - Japan and Switzerland. Second part, Tradition, was to analyse the theory that derived from this phenomenon in Japan, Desakota, which explained how the metropolisis region has developed. The two cultures had a very different approach to industrialisation and zoning, which allowed for Tokyo agglomeration to have a more sustainable territorial occupation. Third part was a research by project, where, though urban and architecture design, we studies which impacts would be used for better evolution of West lausanne Region.
