The understanding of the spatial organization of the Bauhaus building through its form has led to consider that its image contains a new way of conceiving the school space understood as the set of practical and theoretical activities in perfect balance. A fact-finding investigation, through the few drawings reported in the bibliography, appeared unsatisfactory due to the lack of a complete representation of all the architectural elements that make up the building. Starting from the survey carried out in 1976 by Professor Wolfang Paul (Dessau) and from the redesign of the building, the scheme that regulates the internal and external distribution of the spaces in relation to a “module that marks the continuous rhythm of the basement windows was highlighted. In the research by W. Gropius, a design of the project through modularity between the parts has not been documented, but this is evident from the principles of internal organization. Despite that in the idea of school formulated by Gropius there was no hierarchization of the spaces making sure that everything interacted between the parts, the complexity of the organization imposed the existence of service spaces compared to others. The internal paths were analyzed and different hierarchies between the spaces highlighted. In conclusion, some inconsistencies have been deduced between the external form and the function mainly due to the complexity of the internal functions.

The pedestrianization of the last stretch of Via Cardinale Dusmet in front of Villa Pacini is part of those urban intervention strategies, which together with the creation of cycle paths and the use of public transport, make in a short time a more livable city, less polluted and more attractive to tourists. The permanent closure, proposed by local activist association, through traffic deterrents, of the stretch of Via Cardinale Dusmet, adjacent to Villa Pacini, would be an important intervention for the enhancement of the immense historical and artistic heritage present in this area of the city. The viability, access to the fish market area and the daily sales and catering work in the area would not suffer inconvenienceFurthermore, for safety purposes, the creation of pedestrian crossings with lifebuoy islands at the Vecchia Dogana and near Via Porticello was requested. These small interventions improve the road safety of citizens and tourists. The pedestrianization of this section of via Cardinale Dusmet is the natural continuation of the large pedestrian area of via Etnea and piazza Duomo, the fulcrum of Catania, and is the point of connection with the new multifunctional dock, future expansion of the port area, which will be built in a short time.

For the city of Catania, some solutions have been indicated to combat air pollution, social disparity and the increasingly catastrophic phenomena associated with climate change. The expansion of the existing pedestrian area has been proposed, regulated by Piazza Duomo, Piazza Università and Via Etnea, now too often not respected and invaded by cars. The extension of pedestrians is useful not only for the greeting of citizens but also for the use of the area of the city rich in important monuments and representative of the artistic heritage of Catania. The pedestrianization of this area in order to improve the use of the historic center both from a tourist and commercial point of view, to encourage cycling and the efficiency of the underground network.

Inspired by the study of sound propagation under water, Sonar, it is imagined that the energy focus of the project is placed on the bow of a big red ship, where are placed 16 micro hydro turbines that generate clean energy from the water sea. The shape of the vessel reminded of the Refshaleøen past history and with its large size and the choice of its dark red color is visible from the front of the sea in Copenhagen, becoming an element that strongly characterizes the landscape. The bow of the ship is immersed in the sea while the rest of the structure is trapped inside in artificial hill. In the bow there is a large basin that follows the shape of the vessel, below the sea level is located the hydroelectric plant. The propagation under water of energy is refracted on the structure of the ship and on the surface, distorting the shapes into curved surfaces on the site creating an artificial hill.

From the analysis of the geometry generated by the movement of an object shaped like a flat sheet of paper in a free fall that wraps around itself has been thought of this object, a candle holder in brushed steel. Self-produced with laser-cut into the water, following this principle were made two objects: a spiral square with rounded corners and a single irregular spiral which triples the same pattern of movement described above. The design and self-manufacture of candle holders Zag and Master Zag were followed by me at all stages of processing.
