ONCE A FARMHOUSE BY ADRIAN THIS IS A PHOTOGRAPH I TOOK FROM A WINDOW IN MY ROOM. I LIVE ON THE 2ND FLOOR. IN THIS PICTURE YOU CAN SEE A HOUSE THAT ONCE WAS A FARMHOUSE. THE MAN WHICH OWNS THE HOUSE TODAY WAS BORN IN THAT HOUSE. HE HAS LIVED THERE ALL HIS LIFE. BEHIND THE HOUSE YOU CAN SEE A GARDEN. THAT GARDEN WAS ONCE A PART OFF THE FARM. NOW IT IS A PUBLIC MINIGARDEN. CHILDREN LIKE TO PLAY IN THE GARDEN. THE MAN WHO LIVES IN THE HOUSE LIKES TO MAKE GARDEN GNOMES, AND HE PUTS THEM IN HIS GARDEN. YOU CAN SEE SOME OF THEM ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE HOUSE. THE NAME OF MY STREET IS BREKKUSTÍGUR IN ICELANDIC, THAT MEANS HILL STREET IN ENGLISH. THE STRANGE THING ABOUT IT IS THAT THE STREET IS NOT IN A HILL. YOU CAN SEE THAT THERE IS A LITTLE BIT OF SNOW IN THE PUBLIK MINI-GARDEN.

GEESE IN MY BACKYARD BY HUGRÚN

I LIVE IN REYKJAVÍK, THE CAPITAL OF ICELAND, IN A STREET CALLED FELLSMÚLI. THIS IS MY LIVING ROOM WINDOW. THIS IS THE WINDOW THAT I LOOK OUT OF WHEN I’M DOING MY HOMEWORK. I STUDY AT HOME BECAUSE I’M NOT ALLOWED TO GO TO PUBLIC PLACES SO MY BABY BROTHER DOESN’T GET SICK FROM COVID-19. IT’S SNOWING RIGHT NOW AND VERY WINDY, USUALLY THERE ARE MANY GEESE IN MY BACKYARD (WHICH IS WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING AT RIGHT NOW), BUT I THINK THEY’LL SHOW UP LATER TODAY. KIND REGARDS,

IT‘S GRAY WEATHER OUTSIDE BY ÞORBJÖRG I CAN SEE THE GREEN GRASS LBOWING IN THE WIND. I CAN THE BIRDS SITTING ON THE TREE BRANCHES AND PREPARING FOR THE NESTING SEASON ALTHOUGH THE LEAVES ON THE TREES ARE NOWHERE TO BEEN SEEN THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS QUEIT AND ALL I CAN HEAR ARE THE BIRDS SINGING
