site
Bytom used to be one of the most important cities in the largest Polish economic area (the Upper Silesian Industry Area) with extensive industry in coal mining, steel, chemistry, manufacturing, and energy sectors. Many heavy-industry establishments were closed or scaled down in the last two decades because of environmental issues in the center of a highly urbanized area, and also because of decades-long lack of investment
PROJECT NARRATIVE
This is a project proposal for a public space under the flyover that would go right through the city of Bytom. Located by a high-speed logistic of car culture seems to have prevailed over the public qualities of pedestrian street life. The aim was to discover and invent space to live and breathe again.

FLYOVER COMMUNICATION CONCEPT
DETAIL Biowall system
In this obstrusive environment I am proposing a set of public facilities that turn out to be stronger and more atractive than the archetype of dehumanized wasteland - the neglected spaces under the notorious highway flyover. Tried to create an environment for shopping, meeting and comfortable waiting areas.

Each Biowall consists of a number of pre-grown modular panels . Modules contain a geotextile liner into which is placed a suitable planting mix. The modules are preplanted in a nursery environment to allow proper establishment to occur before installation on site.
SECTION
SPORTS CENTRE
Introduction The new building will include a multi-purpose sports hall for diverse sport activities and educational purposes, hotel , a community center, and diverse multifunctional areas. The design for the competition expresses the first ideas and intentions for a sustainable, transparent and green 'landscaped' building.
the site located in the village of Urszulin, which lies approximately 31 kilometres (19 min) south-west of Wlodawa and 46 km (29 min) east of the regional capital Lublin.
SPORTS CENTRE concept The proposal is almost a landscape rather than a building, composed of folding surfaces and green waves. A large deck with lawn overlapping wavebands emerges on the lot, starting from the floor and rising abovethe ground to accommodate the different indoor activities beneath
Instead of placing a large, squared volume, I choose to "continue" the green space integrating the sports centre in it.

RECREATION OF GREEN SPACE It is believed that creation of public space improves the quality of life in the city. Green spaces build the essence of urban life and create a place for interaction and integration.
The Upper Silesia Area
When the city government care about the quality of public spaces, residents have a sense of community and on the contrary, when the space is lacking, people may feel less connected.
the benefits of parks: Green space improves our overall health, reduces health - care costs, improves air quality and saves lives. Park adds value to public investment , increase property values, and improve the local economy by attracting businesses, residents and tourists. Creating accessible, green public space adds real valuae to the lives and welfare of citizens, city, and region

play makes a fundamental contribution to the development of a child's personality. It is mainly through play that small children adapt to their environment. Play area must be varied and meet children's needs. Requirements of play areas : traffic safety, no polution, adequate sunshine. Guidelines for planning playground : age group, usable space per person, play area size.

Layout of the cafeteria is proposed with openings and big widows that let daylight come through to the inside of this meeting space.
It is a place for enjoyment, a place of admiration and a place where we come and meet with friends in contact with nature.
