The idea of a levitating large roof serving as water catchment.
Lightness is enhanced by a windowsetting allowing views of the hovering roof and spatiousness of the structure outside.
(W) ALL IN - to rationalize use, storage and function to one place leaving space for movement, work and events.
Inside and outside is an elastic condition. Wall segments can be opened up to connect with outside, weather, sound, light, smell and allow a small additional building larger social events.
Walls are flexible, openable or transparent playing with inside and outside space.
(W) ALL IN FROM IDEA TO FINALIZED DRAWINGS AND MODEL The course´s aim was to work from an idea of a small building (15 m2) to make finalized building- and construction drawings, as well as material estimations and make a model of the building at scale 1 : 10. IDEA / CONCEPT A selfsufficient PARTYTENT and WORKSPACE combined in a small building that could be placed in an urban garden, courtyard or elsewhere where needed as additional space.

The idea is a self-sufficient building that uses rainwater harvesting from a large ROOF acting as WATER CATCHMENT. WALL
Water is taken down to a gutter at the lowest point which is channeling water further to a water purifier installed within the loadbearing WALL where all functions and storing is incorporated. This grip allows the rest of the space to be free. The functional WALL is 600 mm thick and contains everything needed. It can be equally used from inside and outside for outdoor activities like parties, dinner-gatherings, social events or just enjoying being oudoors. The wall contains a foldable bed, drawers, a writing desk, storage, kitchen sink, a water purifier and benches - a (W)ALL IN.

The opposite wall is composed of eight openable wall sections to create maximum outdoor feeling and transparence, allowing many people passing between outdoor and indoor or working inside with contact to the outdoor. To extend living area, a large terrace is surrounding the building.
