After graduating from Tufts University, Anne put her art history degree to good use at the Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts where she was rapidly promoted to director of publications and marketing. For seven years, she wrote, edited, and produced materials such as event calendars, membership and development appeals, course catalogs, invitations, and exhibition brochures and catalogs.
In the late eighties Anne was hired as senior designer at Gilbert Design Associates of Providence, Rhode Island, a firm specializing in college and university admissions materials, museum and gallery exhibition catalogs, brochures, posters and invitations, and design work for a variety of more commercial clients such as a local bank, hospital, vineyard, shops and restaurants.

p ro file In the mid-nineties, Anne moved to Bend, Oregon, and launched Anne Reitz Graphic Design – primarily freelancing with local firms such as Mandala, TriAd and the tbd agency, with the opportunity to work on local accounts such as Brooks Resources, Sunriver Resort, Crosswater, Bend Golf and Country Club, Black Butte Ranch, St. Charles Medical Center Foundation, Buehner-Fry, Inc. (now Navis) and COVA. She also continued to work with GDA on exhibition catalogues, newsletters, and annual reports. JDRF Central Oregon

For several years, pro bono and volunteer
work dominated Anne’s design activities while children and family took front and center. In early 2014 Anne resumed free-lancing with local agencies, web developers and clients.
Anne is passionate about exploring Central Oregon and appreciating beauty in every day – whether it’s the minute flowers in the high desert, a painting on her easel, the joy of friends and family, or the turn of phrase in a good book. Anne will focus that love for beauty and attention to detail on every project that comes her way.
ARGD An assortment of publications written, edited and designed by Anne while at the Worcester Art Museum. While at GDA, Anne designed the Career Management Tracks pocket folder with pamphlets – constrained only by the MIT graphic standards which she helped to develop and write. Anne also designed this three-part series of graduate school viewbooks and these philharmonic brochures, while at GDA.

ARGD This piece Anne designed while at GDA was sent to prospective Rhode Island School of Design freshmen. The mailing was sent in a 6x9 envelope. As the piece was unfolded, it revealed quotations from artists, images of works in the RISD museum, and finally, the oversized, two-sided poster. A response card was also included.

ARGD Brooks Resources was so pleased with this survey of their corporation’s history and the accompanying brochure, written by TriAd and designed and art directed by Anne, that when supplies ran out after several years, she updated and reprinted the same design for them. This corporate folder with product inserts for Buehner Fry, Inc. (now Navis), was one component of an extensive corporate identity program Anne designed for the rapidly growing company. Anne was brought in to do the photo editing and page layouts for the first issue of the Central Oregon Visitors Association magazine that the tbd agency designed and produced. Locals will recognize the popular Mt. Bachelor Village Resort poster calendar. Anne designed this version while freelancing at Mandala.

ARGD Tourism dominates much of the scene here in Bend, and we are lucky to have such a gorgeous place to promote. Anne designed these rack brochures and direct mailings, while working with TriAd over several years. Anne has conceptualized and designed the publications for several museum and hospital capital campaigns and annual fund drives Shown here are St. Charles Medical Center’s Vision 2000 campaign materials, along with flyers and brochures for other local organizations.
