Funded by the German government I had the chance to study Japanese architecture offices, their environment, methods and habits. My first choice: Kazuya MORITA Architecture Studio. In addition to the regular work I was asked to visulize the atmosphere and situation of his practise and to conceptulize his projects. The result is a beautiful image video and exhibition models made from concrete and cedar, illustrating a simple base supporting complex wooden structures. In my experience MORITA-San has a sincere attitude, tiredless with a strong interest in Theory + Research. It has been a pleasure spending six months with him and his warm-hearted architects living an inspiring mountain-life full of nature, light and in tranquillity.
