Old Style Typeface of Bellagio
ELLAGIO Old Style
Bellagio is the name of this well-known hotel. It suggests European elegance, and the logo design promises it. A beautiful B written in a scrolling font differs from the rest of the name. B is close to Parfumerie Script Old Style font, but it seems to be a mortified version of it. The rest of the letters is Garamond that is classified to be an Old Style letterform. The whole typeface is unique, yet simple enough to be recognized easily.
Old Style letterforms have the weight stress of rounded forms at an angle, as in handwriting. The serifs are bracketed that is , unified with the stoke by a tapered, curved line.

Treasure Island Hotel Casino in Las Vegas is one of the greatest resorts on the Las Vegas Strip that offers a contemporary style with a high-energy atmosphere. Treasure Island is the name of the hotel that has been chosen a mortified version of Pirate Italic font putting up on the hotel building (see figures ). The reason they designed the font as a mortified Pirate Italic is that the whole design of the hotel is based on the elements of pirate architecture.
Italic letterforms slant to the right. Today, we use them primarily for emphasis and differentiation.

The VENETIAN Transitional
The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino is a luxury hotel and casino resort. The Venetian typeface has chosen Mrs Eaves typeface as they communicate a classic form and express technical accuracy, quality and consistency. Mrs Eaves is a transitional serif typeface designed by Zuzana Licko in 1996. The typeface provides clarity and optimal readability to large bodies of text.
Transitional letterforms have the contrast between thick and thin strokes that is greater than in Old Style faces. Its characters are usually wider than Old Style Characters.

Modern Style Typeface of Four Seasons

Four Seasons is the world’s leading operator of luxury hotels and resort. It features modern, contemporary style interiors and an innovative design scheme that is simultaneously stylish, comfortable and functional as they design the letterforms of the name. Four Seasons hotel has chosen Bodoni Roman typeface, is a series of serif typefaces first designed by Giambattista Bodoni. Bodoni is one of the best-known examples of the Modern style of the 19th century.
Modern typeface have extreme contrasts between thick and thin strokes. The weight stress of rounded characters is vertical. Serifs are horizontal hairlines that join the stems at a right angle without bracketing.

Egyptian Style Typeface of Riviera

The Riviera opened on April 20, 1955 as the first highrise resort on the Las Vegas Strip It is one of the oldest and most famous casino resorts in Las Vegas. The Riviera broke new ground in its design: previously, Strip resorts resembled roadside motor courts. The font of The Riviera seems to be a mortified version of Egyptian typeface and other letterforms. But the typeface majorly has the thick, bold letters with slab serifs gives the impression that this casino is well established.
Egyptian typeface also is called as slab-serif. These typestyles have heavy square or rectangular serifs that are usually unbracketed. The stress of curved strokes is often minimal. In some slab-serif typefaces, all strokes are the same weight.

Sans Serif Style Typeface of Mgm Grand
Sans Serif
The MGM Grand hotel Las Vegas is one of the world’s leading global hospitality companies. The MGM Grand is the third largest hotel in the world and the largest hotel resort complex in the United States. MGM Grand’s logo font has changed more than any other property in Las Vegas. But after the opening of the new MGM Grand in 1993, they switched to a sans-serif, heavy bolded, all capital letter logo which is still emblazoned at the top of the hotel towers.
Sans Serif styles have the absence of serifs. Its strokes are uniform, with little or no contrast between thick and thin strokes. Stress is almost always vertical. Many sans serif typefaces are geometric and others combine both organic and geometric qualities.

Serifs Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is a 44-story luxury hotel casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The wording is written in a strong thin serif upper case font that promote better readability but also special for people to remember.
Serifs in Red Serifs have short strokes that extend from and at an angle to the upper and lower ends of the major strokes of letterform.

THE COSMOPOLITAN Arm The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is a luxury resort casino and hotel the broke ground in October 2005. The hotel was rated “The Best Hotel in the World�. It is sure to be a hit with an attractive logo font design. This font has been chosen ultra plain letters and sans serif typeface that contributes to the modern, stark design.
Arm in Red The top form of the uppercase T and E are identified as Arm. Arm has a projecting horizontal stroke that is unattached on one or both ends, as in the letters T and E.

17 Crossbar Letterform of Ballys

Crossbar Bally’s Las Vegas, formerly the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, is one of the oldest hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. One of the signature features of the hotel is the neon lighting wrapped around the Bally’s sign and the covered moving sidewalk. The wording is written in a mortified version of serif font that shows the upper and lower ends of the major strokes of the letterform are thinner and shorter than typical serif letterforms.
Crossbar in Red The middle form of the upper case A is identified as Crossbar. Crossbar has the horizontal stroke connecting two sides of the letterform (as in e, A, and H) or bisecting the main stroke as in f and t.

Ascender Letterform of Planet Hollywood
Ascender Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, previously known as The Aladdin, is one of the outstanding casino resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. Its architecture can best be described as having a “Hollywood hip� theme. It eschews the popular Art-Deco Glamour of similarly imaged venues for a sleeker look that features plenty of glass, neon and reflective surface. However, the choice of typeface on the name of Planet Hollywood is a degraded sans serif typeface that gives a clean design but also recognizable to the viewer.
Ascender in Red The top form of the lowercase h is identified as Ascender. Ascender has a stroke on a lowercase letter that rises above the meanline.

21 Bowl Letterform of Harrahs
Harrahs Bowl Harrah’s Las Vegas is a good hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip. The property is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment Corp. The typeface on the Harrahs signs (shown 21. & 22.) is written in a sans serif font. It is a very special mortified sans serif font. It is written on a waving line that creates the movement and fun on the wording. It is more obvious to see the movement of the typeface at night.
Bowl in Red The bottom form of the lowercase a is identified as Bowl. Bowl has a curved stroke enclosing the counterform of a letter. An exception is the bottom form of the lowercase roman g.

The Trump International Hotel Las Vegas is a sophisticated, non-gaming, luxury hotel situated high above The Strip, steps away from the best of Las Vegas’s shopping, but removed enough to be considered a familyfriendly hotel. The typeface (shown 22. And 23.) on The Trump hotel is so elegant. It is a beautiful customized serifs typeface that is readable and easy to capture when one has a glance up from The Strip. At nighttime, the typeface brightens like stars. The Trump Font is floating on the nightly sky, and possibly captures one’s eye from a distance.

The bottom form of the uppercase R is identified as leg. Leg has the lower diagonal stoke on the letter K or R.
