Experimenting with unexpected combinations of materials and stones has always played an important par t of my desig n process and is what g ives my jewellery a contemporary, irreverent style and never more so than in my latest collections. Over the past few months I have been working with bronze, the sculptors medium, which has allowed m e t he f r e e d om t o d e s i g n t he b ol d , i mp a c t f u l piec es that you see i n f o u n d r y . I c oupled th i s wonderfully tactile metal with oxidised silver, to give the pieces a slightly industrial feel. Similarly in a l c h e m y , lustrous pyrite or fool’s gold, is combined w ith the warm glow of 18ct yellow gold, creating extremely versatile pieces to be enjoyed every day. In c e l e s t i a l , the abundant pink tourmalines are g iven an u nex pect ed tw ist by the depth of thei r rhodium plated sterling silver settings.
