TREKKER’S HUB

BRIEF:

INTENT:

Design a shelter for 40 Trekkers at the foothills of Kalsubai peak.

Give a DYNAMIC experience by creating JOURNEY through Play of LIGHT & SHADOW. Less amount of light inside the rooms and in the corridor to give an enhanced experience of the surrounding vistas.

CONS TECH.: Thick walls- create time lag- for the heat to transfer through the walls. Sloping roofs- protect from heavy rains.

The one way slope towards the internal side creates a focus at the gathering space which is designed according to the users actitivity.

MATERIAL: Mud, stones, karvi, bamboo, Mangalore tile, etc.

INTENT:

Design a CLIMATE-RESPONSIVE residence for a family of 4 members at Mahabaleshwar. AREA: 1000 SQ M BUILT-UP AREA: 200 SQ M

Create LEVELS for interaction, views & cross-ventillation.

BRIEF:

Design housing for people who want to live away from the chaos of the city. Consists of 4BHK and 5BHK villas, as well as 2BHK, 3BHK, 4BHK & studio apartments alongwith clubhouse.

INTENT:

To provide view to every unit alongwith maintaining privacy and vertical services. It is designed so as to enrich community living experience.

The site gives the view of water body on north with mountains as the backdrop, which provide contours that aid in providing view to every apartment and villa.

BRIEF:

INTENT:

To design a mixed-use space that allows different individuals or group of individuals to do different activities at same or various point of time. It should become a landmark and community centre of the city.

The liveliness of the space/structure should welcome a person. It should not keep the boundaries between built & unbuilt spaces. Multi-use areas should create a network of interlinking & interactive spaces. The structure should interact with public. The structure should relate to its context.

To design a resort as a serene & calm place & also to sustain the market of tourism industry. Brief was open to the Architects

To provide people with a space for their aspiration for adventure sports and also to recluse. The resort is designed in such a way that it could host a small family of three or a large corporate group of a hundred, and be able to cater to both.
