Press Article published in Les Plus Beaux Intérieurs
Article written while I was interning at Dôme. The piece describes the project on which I had the chance to work, under the supervision of the interior architect and the interior decorator of the firm. The article provides an insight on the unique and refined designs that are created following the vision of Dôme’s talented owner, Cécile Daregard. During this project I had the opportunity to follow the space called l’Orangerie, a room that connects the main house to the indoor pool, from the project phase to the end realization. Les Plus Beaux Intérieurs, Vol. 23 - Sept., Oct. and Nov. 2012. Page 236 to 245.
ORANGERIE INTERNSHIP WITH DÔME - BAMARA PROJECT
Spring 2012, Geneva, Switzerland
This room is the connection in between the main house and the indoor pool. The term Orangerie was given to this space because originally it was an indoor garden with orange trees. The entire mansion had almost all been renovated, and this room was the last piece to be done. The reason why this space was left untouch until then is because the client could not decide nor imagine what he needed in this space. Dôme offered to design a luxurious, warm indoor space that could be used as a entertaining area. The idea was to connect this room to the outdoors and be able to use it as a veranda. Use of AutoCAD, Sketchup, 3DS Max and Photoshop
