"Sometimes, letting someone go is the ultimate act of love." Claire Nixon is a college student with a past full of secrets and heartbreak. She was saved once by her first love, and rock star, Chris Knight. But when she encouraged Chris to leave town to pursue his dreams, both Claire and Chris didn’t realize it would be the biggest mistake of their lives. After a devastating year apart and thousands of miles of distance between them, Claire met sexy surfer Adam Parker. With his awful jokes and profound patience, he helped Claire pick up the shattered pieces of her broken heart for the second time. But now Chris has returned and he is willing and determined to make Claire’s dreams come true—the same way she did for him when she let him go. With Adam’s former girlfriend in the picture, Claire finds herself torn between the new, passionate love she shares with Adam and the love and family she shares with Chris. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language, drug use, and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Reviews I have really enjoyed my time with Chris, Claire and Adam. All three books are wonderfully written and a must read in my opinion. One of the things I loved about this book is that it has 3 epilogues. All questions are answered and there is nothing making you wonder what is going to happen next. As always Ms. Leo has written another must read book. I must say that I was torn with wanting Claire to end up with Adam or Chris. I am glad things worked out the way they did. The plot line is excellent, the flow is flawless and the characters are ones I wish I knew in real life. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Leo in the future. She is one to watch!! ================================================== My Favorite Lines: "Maybe then, we'll find strength in each other knowing that we were both willing to do whatever it took to make each other's dreams come true." "Seventeen months and countless mistakes later, we still ended up right where we began, where we were always meant to be." "I guess we never really know if the path we've chosen was the wrong one until we reach the end. The important thing is whether you enjoyed the journey." What I Thought: Before I go any further, I want to say that if you're reading my review and haven't read the Shattered Hearts series yet and are thinking about doing so, don't let my opinion on this book effect your decision. I love this series. The first books were amazing. Unfortunately, I don't feel the same about this book but the reasons I have are my own, and the vast majority of reviews it has gotten so far are positive. I just wanted to get that out there in case there are people who read my thoughts on books and actually consider my opinions. I don't really know what to say about this book since I make it a point not to reveal spoilers, and most of what I didn't like has to do with a major plot line. I am not bitter about who she picked. I wasn't surprised about that, though I was surprised by how quickly it happened.

One of the things I love most about this series has been how different it is, at least for me, from other love triangle stories I've read. The author did an amazing job of making both guys, Adam and Chris, very likable and for very different reasons. In Relentless, I was Team Adam all the way. In Pieces of Me, I was leaning more on Chris' side. I was hoping Bring Me Home would tear me in half not knowing who I'd rather Claire pick, and that didn't happen at all. In the end, I was happy with who she picked. It was the right choice for a number of reasons. But I didn't like how the other character's story played out. It felt like they broke up and then it was done. It's never that simple! I don't want to go on and on about the reasons I didn't like this book. It hasn't changed my opinion about the series or the author. I'd still read another book by Cassia Leo, I think she's fantastic and amazing for coming up with such a great series and ideas. I don't want to say this book was unrealistic because for me, it's impossible to write truly "realistic" fiction since everyone would react to any situation in a different way. I wasn't happy with the way this story played out, and I feel a little let down that there will be nothing more for these characters. I loved all of them very much in the first two books, but that love more or less faded throughout this book.
