Italian culture, tradition and flavours! ASPIN is the Special Agency of Frosinone Chamber of Commerce and promotes the internationalisation process of the provincial enterprises’ system. ASPIN is a strategic tool for Frosinone territory for the enhancement of the local production within new projects and international activities that in turn promote innovation and the development of a globally competitive and knowledge-based industrial sector. This leading role is carried out supplying the following services: assistance, information, consulting and promotional activities. ASPIN focuses special effort on strengthening international cooperation within foreign companies and institutions as well as within the chamber of commerce network in Italy and abroad in relation to specialised sectorial initiatives established in connection to strategically selected countries. These activities are based on the participation to worldwide trade exhibitions and fairs, BtoB workshops, national and international programmes, market research and on the organization of business incoming.

The Province of Ciociaria is located in the green hills of Central Italy between Rome and Naples and evokes centuries-old traditions, culture and cuisine with the genuine flavour of times past. It proudly shows the signs of its long history and was homeland to ancient populations who built breathtaking megalithic fortresses. The province has been a major participant in the marvellous chapters of Roman history: during the Middle Ages, four Popes were chosen from the local aristocracy, the most famous of them being Bonifacio VIII. The great philosopher Marco Tullio Cicerone was also from this region. Inhabitants from Ciociaria were devotees of the God Saturn, the major Roman deity of agriculture and harvest, and wine and food have always been traditional activities here. Two “DOC” red wines cultivated in this area have absorbed all that history: “Cesanese del Piglio” and “Cabernet di Atina”. “Cesanese” is one of the most important and ancient red vine varieties cultivated in the Lazio Region; its original vineyards are still located on the small hills of the Piglio and Serrone Municipalities and wonderfully framed by the Ernici Mountains and the Regional Natural Park of the Simbruini Mountains in a unique area characterized by medieval villages and castles. Its grapes create a deep ruby-red wine characterised by a unique scent that recalls its own environment: velvety, somewhat tannic, soft with a good body able to be aged in oak casks. The wine is delicate on the palate and on the nose with complex flavours and the aromas of berry fruits. “Cesanese del Piglio” obtained “DOC” status in 1973 and is produced in both dry and sweet versions. “Cabernet di Atina” is the typical red wine produced in the Valle del Comino area and is the result of the cultivation of traditional and well established vines such as French Cabernet and Merlot which were introduced in the 19th century by the renowned Sig. Visocchi. It is a powerful red wine aged in French oak barrels and has a big impact on the nose with rich spicy aromas and the scent of red fruits and hints of green pepper. Its organic qualities perfectly match the flavours of the local sheep and goat cheeses and the glorious truffles in the region.
