LET’S GO BACK! ANTHOLOGY VACATION

23 LET’S BE FRIENDS

HOME away from HOME Be it Valentine’s or a summer getaway, Providence on the Green in Rosemary Beach is your home for a holiday away.

AARON SNOW IS AN OKLAHOMA-BASED PHOTOGRAPHER. HIS STYLE IS fun, artistic and real. His talent for capturing people and using natural light to create his distinct images is one of the many reasons we’re so glad to have him as Anthology’s photographer. This fall, he headed to Rosemary Beach, FL for a little R&R with his family and stayed at our home Providence on the Green. Aaron and his 4 year old son, Sam, share a little about their latest Anthology vacation.

WHAT’S THE MOST FUN YOU HAD ON YOUR VACATION? AARON: We had tons of fun playing tennis almost every day. We played with the kids on the Western Green, built sand castles at the beach, swam in a different club pool each day, took night time bike rides to Alys Beach and sat by the fire pit at Providence in the evening. SAM: Playing with my cousins. Playing with toys that we bought at the toy store in Rosemary Beach. BEST FOOD YOU ATE ON 30A?

AARON: We didn’t eat out too much because we enjoyed making meals in the awesome kitchen. One of our favorite spots for breakfast and lunch was Summer Kitchen Cafe. The cinnamon rolls are to die for! SAM: Pizza. FAVORITE SPOT IN THE HOUSE? AARON: We enjoyed the outdoor living areas. The porch just off of the living room has the perfect bed swing to lay on and listen to the ocean and feel the breeze. The small pool in

the courtyard was the perfect size for the kids to enjoy during the day and awesome for the adults to sit in at night. SAM: The pool! WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO AT THE BEACH? AARON: We had fun digging for shells, building sand castles and body boarding. SAM: Catch little fish in the nets. WHAT’S IN YOUR BEACH COOLER? AARON: I have a Yuengling or a Tecate. SAM: Lemonade, trail mix, apples, M&M’s.

WHY DO YOU LIKE RENTING A VACATION HOME? AARON: Having a place that feels like home rather than a hotel room makes all the difference in the world. WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN IT’S CLOUDY AT THE BEACH? AARON: We actually took advantage of the big waves that the rain and wind made one day during this trip. Body boarding was so fun that day. We also cozied up on the big couches in the living room and watched Mega Mind with the kids. SAM: Watch movies and build tents in the living room. TOP BUNK OR BOTTOM BUNK? AARON: Top. SAM: Bottom. WHEN YOU GO BACK TO 30A, WHAT IS ONE THING YOU’LL DO AGAIN? AARON: We definitely enjoyed riding bikes all

week long. Everything is either a walk or a short bike ride away. It’s so much fun! SAM: Go to the beach! HOW HAS VACATION IMPACTED YOUR FAMILY/YOU? AARON: Vacation has opened my eyes to areas of the United States and the World that you would never see in person otherwise. We make time every year to get away, even if it is a spontaneous trip. Traveling with good family friends is always fun for us too. Spending quality time with the family while building deeper relationships with great friends is nice. ICE CREAM OR SNOW CONE? AARON: You have to get a snow cone at Frost Bites in Seaside, FL! SAM: Snow cone!

THE NOVOGRATZ

Photo from The Novogratz

EARLIER THIS YEAR, WE HAD A CHANCE TO SIT DOWN WITH ROBERT AND CORTNEY Novogratz at their beautiful, glass home in Manhattan. There was a buzz of excitement in the house as Bob and Courtney managed their company from a dining room table and kids bustled in from school. This family is a step above cool, with their uber-stylish digs, seven beautiful children, successful interior design business, hit Bravo and HGTV series, a new book and a furniture line for CB2 (just to name a few)! Their self-taught, rule breaking style has a life all it’s own, which is one of the many reasons we elected to have them design our newest luxury vacation rental in Seabrook, WA. The homes they design have extreme style, but they never compromise on family friendly functionality. Having seven kids, they know the importance of designing around a family’s needs.

“THE ANTHOLOGY HOME IS FOCUSED ON FAMILY FUNCTIONALITY, COLORFUL ART & BEING FUN & COMFORTABLE ENOUGH THAT THE HOME IS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY IN AND RETURN TO.” - ROBERT NOVOGRATZ

“WE ARE SO EXCITED TO BE TEAMING UP WITH ANTHOLOGY TO CREATE A NEW, UNIQUE, LUXURY VACATION RENTAL. Family is so important to us. From the moment we saw Seabrook, WA, we easily envisioned our own family enjoying everything it has to offer. Picturesque Seabrook showed us again and again how perfect it would be to spend time in this beautiful coastal town with incredible opportunities for families to reconnect and enjoy the multitude of things that the community encompasses. Visiting this town again reminded us just how much it gives that feeling of being home away from home. We are continually amazed at how gorgeous everything is around us- from Olympic National Park to the breathtaking views of the ocean. We can picture our own family creating wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. From the views to the coffee (and with seven kids, the coffee part is important!) and most of all the incredible people in Seabrook- we loved everything about it and cannot wait to share our experiences with all of you. Putting the “Novogratz touch” on this house brings a little of our family to yours. We can’t wait for you to see the finished project!” - The Novogratz
