The Canadian Women's History Issue. We wanted to do an issue on the history of women in Canada to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Person’s Case in October of this year. Our cover therefore features a group of women that we have termed the ‘Unnamed Five.' These are the women whose stories are rarely told within the Canadian historical record. We feature Kay Livingstone, the founder of the Congress of Black Women, Jeannette Corbiere-Lavell, an Aborginal woman who fought for equal treatment under the Indian Act, and Sunera Thobani, who has worked toward anti-racist practices within the feminist movement. We also feature two unnamed women who represent the collective groups of women who founded the Canadian Council of Muslim Women and the DisAbled Women’s Network (DAWN). *Please note corrections regarding Issue 7: http://antigonemagazine.wordpress.com/2010/04/17/issue-7-online-and-corrections/
