Blackberry Farm & Blackberry Mountain Proprietor Mary Celeste Beall explores the evolution of creating welcoming spaces with Blackberry Farm Co-Founder Kreis Beall in a conversation about hospitality and design for two eras of Blackberry.

Mary Celeste Beall is the Proprietor of the acclaimed resort hotels Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. For more than two decades, Beall has lived and worked on the family-owned properties. She joined her late husband Sam as he transformed Blackberry Farm into a renowned food, wine and wellness destination. As Proprietor, Mary Celeste brings inspiration and vision to Blackberry Mountain, making this legacy property a haven for personal exploration in relaxation, wellness and adventure. She helped guide the expansion of the Blackberry brand, continuing a longstanding reputation for renowned hospitality and celebrated wine and food.

Kreis Beall is the Co-Founder and former Proprietor of Blackberry Farm, an award-winning, 70-room Relais and Châteaux hotel in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. As entrepreneurial as she is artistic, the Tennessee native’s varied experiences — hotelier, cook, photographer, interior designer, intrepid traveler — all share a common thread: Beall’s passion for the art of living, her love of beauty, and her knack for transforming big dreams into bold reality. Like her grandmother and mother before her, Beall works tirelessly to curate thoughtful, hospitable environments and experiences. She’s often overheard saying, “the answer is yes…what’s the question?” — and she means it. In addition to her contributions in the world of hospitality, Beall has also earned acclaim for her inspired interiors and her work with Blackberry Farm Design.
