My name is Antoine Giard, i’m a 20 year old product design student. I would define myself as a swiss knife, touching lot of domains. I’m very curious, I like discovering new things wich is why I have varied hobbies such as film making, music producing, motorbike, sailing or snowboarding... If I had to describe myself in three words, it would be polyvalent, obstinated & passionate !

“Design the school furniture of tomorrow” Short project
13
Why ? I decided to create a table & a rocking chair for secondary school and high school. My goal was to recreate a feeling of confidence, cohesion and owning over school to bring student desire to learn.

14
What ? The table is composed of a plant pot, a pencil & a tablet holder. Each student has his own table and takes care of their plants. This remove the sterile and unpersonal aspect of the school. Studies have shown that plants reduce stress, headaches or absenteeism in schools or companies up to 45% !
15
Concept
The rocking-chair has two positions : an active and a passive position to adjust to the needs of the students.

Current classrooms
Possible classrooms (and many more ...)
36
This school furniture concept is made to work in groups. The triangular shape allows different class organisations. It can evolve with the classroom.
19
20
The aim of this stylistic concept was to create minimalists football shoe inspired by the Magista Obra.
21
Concept The flyknit technology and the velcro strap gives an easy & good fit ; the embossed silicone on the toebox allows a better control on the ball.
22
LONE STRAP FIT Easy to wear & fit.
FLYKNIT UPPER Comfort and easy fit-on.
FREE KICK ZONE More precision when playing.
GRIP ZONE 3D RUBBER SWOOSH
Hot embossed silicone pattern. Increase ball controll & kicking precison.
Unique style.
REINFORCED TOEBOX Inner fabric part to reinforce the shoe.
23
During my 1st year internship at Billard Toulet I designed a character for a foosball table.
24
25
26
After the corporate manager had chosen between numerous sketches propositions, I made illustrators blueprints and 3D of the player.
The intern designer adapted the form to make the final design realeased on march 31st of 2015.
27
After the Samba & the Superstar boots made by Adidas, I wanted to propose my version of the iconic Stan Smith.
28
29
30
Heritage I kept the main details of the original sneaker : stitchings, holes stripes, heel logo (and my face on the shinshell for the fun !)

“Design a new packaging for french fries Packaging workshop 4 hours
32
33
Currently ...
Classic packaging waste paper, it’s hard to eat with hands, no place for the sauce, always have too much fries...
Sharing
My concept is made to enjoy this moment : you can eat it with friends or share your sauce with your family ! Place the packages next to one another and have fun !
34
Context
We eat 350kg of fries every second worldwide, often bad packaging.
A single A4 paper
One glue line
That’s it !
35
Key points This packaging allows you to eat on the go, with your hands. You have a cup for the sauce, a shape that fits your hand an adapted amount of fries ! It is small and doesn’t take space to store when folded.

Photography
Why ? I’ve been doing photography for 3 years. It makes you discover new places with a different point of view. Playing with light, add effects, you have plenty of possibilities when you’re taking a picture and that’s why I love it so much. I currently use a Nikon D610 with a 50mm 1:4G lens.

45

Nothing is free in studio photography. Pay attention to details, take your time, try again and again to have the perfect shot...

2 day workshop The number of cyclists is going up, having a car in cities is becoming difficult nowadays. Fixies are lighweight, easy to repair, minimalist. So we decided to design a bicycle based on fixies around the current new behaviours. With 2 other students we created a bike made to be carried on the shoulder easily ; a small & urban bike for everyday life.

Mastic
Painting
Mock up To test the ergonomy of the bicycle, it was primordial to have a scale one mock up. After assembling the frame, adding mastic, sanding & painting, we could test the final mock up.

52
Internship
Qilive is the new brand in Auchan group. It has the ambition to replace all household appliances of the shelves of Auchan supermarkets in the future. As the brand is 2 years old and the team was small, I was really involved in the design process. I had responsabilities and I could bring a real support to the team, I was not regarded as a trainee but as a co-worker.
53
54
Breakfast set My main mission was to design the first hard products of the brand : a breakfast set. It needed to be extremely simple, and fit the target price (about 45â‚Ź).
55
Process
During the analysis & the creative phases, we disassembled coffee makers to see how it works, to figure out the package we needed, the volume of the water tank we wanted... After disassembling, we saw that there was hardly anything electric in it, except an electrical resistance. So we could make something very minimalist.
56
57
58
Concept
The set is devided into a coffee maker, a toaster & a kettle. The idea for the coffe maker was to show the transformation of the liquid : water up, coffee down, and just an aluminium holder between it, where pipes were hidden inside.
59
Women apparel This project lasted two weeks. The brief was to create a range of bags and protections for women : a tablet & laptop sleeve, a smartphone push- up case and an everyday tote bag for laptop. It has to be neutral & timeless.
60
61
62
Process After moodboards, brainstormings and post- it drawings, I made techpacks, sent to the supplier for first samples. The main idea was to take the existing and flip it sideways : vertical format for the laptop & horizontal format for the smartphone case. The concept is made of a single line of stitches representing the interior pocket.
63
64
Business trolley We were asked to design a business trolley for professionals on two day business trips. We designed it smart, simple, innovative & adapted.
65
66
Mock up I made mock-ups according to the airlines limitations and the needs of the target. When I finally came up with the ideal package, we started conceptualisation.
67
Concept The concept is devided into two parts : personal & professional. It was designed to avoid wasting time during airport security checks or meetings and facilitate access to a laptop in a train or plane.
