CONCEPT How can a commuter employ both a vehicle and a cycle into their everyday commute? How can an emotional connection be created between a user and a product they do not own?

CONCEPT A vehicle offering f lexibility to the urban resident. A commuter micro vehicle. A utility vehicle for transporting small goods. A fold up vehicle for small footprint parking solutions.

USER Centre city residents. No parking. No space. Need for efficiency.

This consumer will not own multiple vehicles, this will be their only one. In this case, f lexibility is extremely important as the needs of the driver change from commute to storage to parking.

CONCEPT Re-invent a New Zealand racing brand to tribute the 50th Anniversary of Bruce McLarens death. A transition vehicle. Designed to bridge the gap from internal combustion engines to electric power for the club racer/supercar purist.

Elliptical wheels??

I beg an this concept by envisioning a rear wheel which would allow a full

variation of traction by rotation around a stationary centre point. The tyre is now a track which makes this possible. And because it is elliptical the whole rear of the vehicle can raise or lower.. increasing and decreasing the drag coefficient.

In January 2010 my model was

displaed in the Bruce McLaren Festival of Speed. Viewed by ex Ferrari F1 driver Cris Amon and McLaren Motorsport co-founder Phil Kerr, this was an incredible experience.

CONCEPT The centre of the fast growing city of Auckland, New Zealand, has been closed to all privately owned transport.

Supplemented by an induction highway and symbolic new bridge, a

pod-train network is introduced for all commuting to, from, and within the centre.

USER Everyday commuters to/from the city. Taxi, small distance idividuals

within the city.

‘Pod’ Trains Pod trains designed to act individually or in trains depending on traffic needs.

‘Sail’ Bridge A cable-stay bridge designed to accommodate heavy train usage.



All private transportation is closed off in central Auckland

city.

Pod trains mounted on raised platforms and existing infrastructure supplement all internal and suburban travel in and out of the central business district.
