Students from Nassau BOCES toured the PSEG Long Island Training Academy with utility workers who will educate them about electricity, while touring the five academies: substations, emergency services, underground and overhead lines, and meter maintenance. They also got a visual demonstration illustrating why it is important to stay away from downed power lines. The demonstration took place at the PSEG Long Island Training Academy in Hicksville, NY.

There was a climbing demonstration, visual demonstration on the dangers of working on and around high voltage wires, what to do if a power line falls on a car, home, or fence, and how wildlife can negatively interfere with power lines.
