My First Book of the Farm
At Armonia, little ones of 3 to 4 years learn the features of farm animals, thanks to enjoyable, strategically developed activities, according to the Montessori method. By means of outlines to trace, shapes to recognize and colour, drawings to cut out, and many brightly coloured stickers to place, children gradually learn new information about animals, at the same time developing their cognitive potential.
My First Book of Woodland Animals
Various species of animal live in Dirondello wood: little children of 3 to 4 years can get to know them by involvement in enjoyable activities, developed in the Montessori style. By means of lines to trace, shapes to recognize and colour, drawings to cut out, and many brightly coloured stickers to place, children gradually learn new information on the features of woodland animals, at the same time developing their cognitive potential.
My First Book of the Garden
Children from 5 to 6 years discover nature in the garden by involvement in creative, enjoyable activities developed in the Montessori style. By means of mazes, pre-literacy games, shapes to recognize and colour, and many brightly coloured stickers to place, children gradually learn new and interesting information on the features of garden animals and plants, developing their cognitive potential. 40 and 8 pages of stickers • 21,6 x 27,2 cm £ 6.99 • Paperback Children’s Educational February 2018 My First Book of the Farm 978 88 544 1236 1 Ages 3 and UP My First Book of Woodland Animals 978 88 544 1235 4 Ages 3 and UP My First Book of the Garden 978 88 544 1237 8 Ages 5 and UP 2 White Star Publishers Spring 2018
My First Box of Colors
The world of colours is ready to be explored, thanks to the many Montessori play activities in the box, which have been specifically designed to make learning fun and to stimulate children’s autonomy. By means of the 63 tablets with all the gradients of 9 colours and the 27 tablets with illustrations of coloured objects, children between 3 and 5 years develop their sense of colour, by learning to recognize and distinguish shades, and to associate colours to objects in daily life.
My First Box of Animals
The world of nature comes into little explorers’ homes. Thanks to the tiles with the illustrations of 24 animals of the savannah, the jungle, the wood, and polar regions, together with a brightly coloured poster, children between 4 and 6 years begin to build their knowledge of the animal world. By means of various Montessori activities, little children learn the features of their favourite animals and their habitats autonomously and by visual learning strategies.

MAD FOR MATH If Times Tables You Want to Learn, to Fairy Tales You Have to Turn! Spy School. The Fraction Mission Text by Linda Bertola, illustrations by Agnese Baruzzi This series of books offers activities for exploring the world of numbers in an amusing way, encouraging a positive attitude to mathematics. The topics are presented gradually and a deductive approach is preferred: for this reason, the concepts are never formalized, nor are definitions or specific terminologies used. Do-it-yourself ideas are proposed, using everyday materials, or those presented in the book, to encourage learning through the creative-manipulative channel. The brief, fascinating stories that start each chapter and introduce the activities, and the colorful illustrations by Agnese Baruzzi finally allow the young readers to approach the most important mathematical concepts with a smile on their faces! Linda Bertola is a linguistic and learning facilitator, with a degree in Foreign languages for intercultural mediation from the Università Cattolica of Milan. She specialized in teaching and supporting students with special educational needs. She is also specialized in teaching Italian to foreign children, kids and adults. She worked with various schools and associations as an intercultural educator/trainer. You can find her articles about didactics on the website genitoricrescono.com. The World of Bees Text by Cristina Banfi, illustrations by Giulia De Amicis Bees have always been friends to man, even way back in prehistoric times. They feed on nectar and pollen and transform them into honey, a delicious substance that besides being a tasty food, is a key ingredient for many products. This book gives you the chance to get to know bees from up close and to explore their fascinatingly complex society. The book pays special attention to the dangers these hard-working insects currently face due to pollution and harmful human behavior that risk interfering heavily with the life of a species that ought to be defended at all costs! Cristina Banfi graduated in Natural Sciences at University of Milan. She taught in many scholastic institutes and she is a founding member of the Museum Didactic Association (ADM) and ADMaiora, which both work in education in museums, natural parks, oases and exhibitions. Great Explorers’ Atlas Text and illustrations by Riccardo Francaviglia Since the beginning of time, man has felt the need to travel and explore more of the world around him. Some of these expeditions have become fundamental stages in the history of humankind. Little is known, however, of what led certain courageous men to leave, set sail or join wandering caravans, challenging the unknown to go where no one else had ever dared. And little is known about their human journeys, the difficulties they faced in their travels and how this changed their lives. This book tells us of the courage of some exceptional men and women, their success and their fears, of the paths they took and their legacy. To help us along these extraordinary events, the book is full of illustrations, captions and in-depth analyses giving us an original point of view of these stories of explorations. Riccardo Francaviglia is a children’s books author and illustrator who lives and works in Catania, Italy. Together with Margherita Sgarlata, he has illustrated more than twenty albums and books, published in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Korea, Canada and Portugal, receiving praises and awards. He creates illustrations for stamps, posters, calendars, board games and children’s magazines and he also delivered an iPad App created around his stories and characters.

The Atlas of Flags Text by Federico Silvestri, illustrations by Rossella Trionfetti Why is there a maple leaf in the center of the Canadian flag? What is the eagle on the white background of the Mexican flag carrying in its beak? Is it just by chance that the Middle Eastern countries all have flags in the same colours? These and many other questions about national flags are answered in this richly illustrated volume, which gives historical information and geographical notions, but also many curiosities about the specific characteristics of the various flags and the nations they represent. The colors, the symbols and the patterns on the flags conceal ancient legends that have been told since the start of time. The reader will be taken on a journey that goes beyond the continents and the nations and delves into myth and history, to discover much more about the world we live in. Federico Silvestri. Reading a map, an atlas or globe is the most entertaining activity imaginable for the author of this volume. Half-architect and half-designer, he always dreamed of designing the flag of a fledgling nation. His favourite flags are those of Bahrain, Barbados and Kiribati.
