About

CV

I consider myself an architect with a multidisciplinary profile, thanks to my ever-growing expertise in different areas of architecture and my strong aptitude for design and functional spaces. I am excited by new challenges and I look at the project in its entirety, considering architecture in its social, evocative and contextual value. I keep abreast of new building approaches and technologies, with a focus on environmental sustainability; indeed I am particularly interested in the relationship between the anthropised and natural environment. I enjoy discovering new ways of working because I’m very flexible, both as

part of a team and on my own. I achieve goals by finding appropriate solutions, the most efficient way of working and meeting deadlines.

Location : Valledoria - Sassari

The focus of the competition, launched by the Sardinian association “Iscola”, is the extension of the existing G. Deledda, in the municipality of Valledoria (SS), which currently houses only primary school classrooms. The extension will invest the entire area of the existing building, creating new classrooms for nursery, middle and high school, a canteen, a media library and a multi-functional gymnasium. Our strategy has been to organise the required school levels in distinct areas, organically connected by commisions of corridors, common spaces such as the green courtyard, which creates centrality and gives the building more light and air. The layout of the new building is articulated within the site in a way that makes the most of the climatic resources of the sun and is designed with construction solutions that reduce its environmental impact. Finally, the multi-purpose gymnasium, facing the main road, is not only designed for teaching activities, but will also be a place open to the community, hosting cultural exchange activities and events.

Historical evolution

Historical data

Palazzo Sozzini - Malavolti is located in the Contrada of Leocorno, in the historic centre of Siena, in the Pantaneto district that overlooks the street of the same name as many of the aristocratic palaces in the historic centre, also of medieval origin but extensively reworked in the modern age. The palace is an example of urban residential architecture of the Sienese

1595

aristocratic class, most of whose visible features date from the late 18th to mid-19th century. The successive architectural changes to the palace are not such as to distort the layout laid out by Bartalucci and his students, just as, despite some modifications, traces of Fantastici’s thoughtful and creative work remain legible to an expert eye, which, prior to the present study, had not been investigated in depth, especially with regard to the design of the garden. In the 20th century, the monumental complex underwent some alterations

1750

with its transfer to the Italian State and its transformation into the provincial headquarters of the INPS, while between 1970 and 1990.

The urban design that teaches about circularity Garden Kiosk is the concept of a self-sufficient urban ecosystem, a small green oasis that sustains and nourishes itself thanks to technology applied to the principles of eco-sustainability. A kiosk that recalls the ancient Persian tradition of the Kūshk, but looks to the present and our future through a modern reinterpretation. The project is designed to bring to urban centres not just a piece of furniture, but an integrated system for managing nature’s cycles of energy: water, wind, sun and earth, in order to improve the well-being of urban spaces, living environments and all man-made places in general. The idea is also based on the concepts of mobility and reversibility of the installation, in fact the structure can be easily transported, removed or relocated, having no connection to the supporting surface.

The site is located within the Central Conservation Area and is adjacent to listed buildings. It is also in close proximity to the Town Hall and the Corn Exchange. The redevelopment proposals are for a single retail unit on the ground, first and second floors. Part of the proposal includes the existing Grimwades building at 2-6 Cornhill. As a result, the proposals we will be considering are for the retention of the frontage. An analysis of the existing elevation has been undertaken to understand the rhythm of Cornhill and Westgate Street. The ‘last’ proper bay of the Grimwades unit was identified as providing the correct street rhythm and scale. This rhythm has been incorporated into the street proposal and demonstrates how the elevation treatment has evolved.

Zero Scrap Chair Industrial Design concept

Location : Studio Crociferi Napoli

The idea was to combine an easy to assemble chair with a reduction in waste during production. The result is a chair with an essential and unique design. Starting with a 120cm x 60cm plywood panel, 18mm thick, the shapes are cut using CNC technology and kept inside the panel for easy transport.
