MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES
The general principle that governs the Club is that no member’s behavior should ever affect the experience of another member negatively. All guidelines pertaining to the operation of UCC are determined by Management and are in place for the general enjoyment of all members and their guests. Management is authorized to modify all guidelines when in the best interest of the Club.
Members and their guests are expected to interact and conduct business with management, staff, and fellow members in a courteous and respectful manner. The Club values the service team and firmly believes in the covenant of “ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.” It is expected that members and their guests shall not reprimand employees. Should you have any complaints, please direct them to Management in person or in writing.
◦ Firearms are not allowed on UCC premises.
◦ Members and guests are prohibited from bringing food and beverage on Club property.
◦ Dogs and other pets are not permitted anywhere on the premises, unless service dogs with the appropriate documentation.
◦ Members must exercise discretion and be courteous to others when using cell phones.
◦ In accordance with the Smoke Free Illinois Act, 410 ILCS 1, et. Seq., smoking is prohibited indoors or within fifteen feet of any entrance to an indoor area. Persons who smoke in permitted areas must show consideration for any nonsmokers in their vicinity.
◦ Members may not invite UCC employees to be their guest at the Club.
◦ No person under the age of twenty-one shall be served alcohol, nor shall any person who is visibly intoxicated be served alcohol.
◦ The possession, use, and sale of illegal substances at the Club is strictly prohibited.
◦ Members shall be responsible for the behavior of all account users and any invited guests while on premise.
◦ UCC is not responsible for damage to or loss of property of members or their guests.
◦ Photography of any part of the property for commercial use is not allowed.
◦ When the Club sounds a siren, all play on golf course and any other outdoor activities shall cease.
◦ An automatic service charge of 20% will be calculated on every bill in the dining room and is passed on to the service staff, as well as the banquet rooms
◦ Staff gratuities are permitted throughout the Club and always appreciated.
◦ Failure to follow the guidelines as noted in this handbook, or any other means of communication from the owner or management may result in corrective action.
GUEST USAGE GUIDELINE S
Guests of members may be extended guest privileges subject to payment of applicable guest fees and charges and in compliance with the rules and regulations established by the Club. Guest privileges may be limited, denied, withdrawn, or revoked at any time at the sole discretion of the Club. Although it is the intention of the Club to accommodate guests without inconvenience to other members, the Club reserves the right to limit the number of guests that accompany a member or designee on any given day or other time period.
◦ Proper attire – Tasteful casual attire is appropriate for the Dining Room and Patio. Denim with no holes or rips and proper golf attire are permitted. Swimwear, cover-ups, and exercise apparel are not permitted in dining areas. Hats and visors should be removed.
◦ Reservations – Reservations for regular dining are encouraged. Those with reservations will receive priority at the time of their reservation. Reservations are limited to a maximum of 8 per table in the Dining Room. Larger numbers may be accommodated at separate tables. Parties of 13 or more may be assigned to a private room and will be billed subject to a single payment method.
◦ Guests – All guests must be accompanied by a UCC member.
Each local guest (non family member residing within a 75 mile radius) is permitted to visit the Club six times per calendar year. Vertical family members (parents [in-law], adult children, and grand children) are permitted to visit the Club six times per calendar year. Applicable guest fees will apply.
◦ Proper attire – Appropriate attire including shorts, shirts, and closed toed athletic footwear must be worn at all times in the Fitness Suite. To maintain clean and sweatfree equipment, clothing must cover any part of the body exposed to direct contact with the equipment. No swimsuit gear is appropriate in the Fitness Suite.
◦ All members and their guests must sign in prior to using the facility. Guests must be accompanied by a UCC member at all times.
◦ Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
◦ Proper attire – Appropriate tennis attire and smooth soled shoes are required for everyone within the fence. This includes: golf/tennis polo, t-shirt, athletic shirt, golf/tennis shorts or skirt, and tennis/running shoes
◦ All guests must be accompanied by a UCC member. The host member will be billed the prevailing guest fee. Each membership may host up to 6 guests at one time subject to Guest Usage Guidelines
◦ Children of all ages are welcome to use the tennis courts. However, adults must provide supervision for those children who are unfamiliar or unable to maintain appropriate tennis etiquette.
◦ Proper attire –Robes, slippers, personal locker, and towels are provided for all Spa Guests. Please disrobe to the level of your comfort for your treatment,
◦ Proper attire – Appropriate swim attire is required for use of the pool – including bathing suits, board shorts, or rash guards. Cotton clothing, jeans, thongs, Brazilian/G-string bathing suits or similar are considered inappropriate attire and are not allowed. Cover-ups or shirts are required when leaving/entering the pool area.
◦ Children 16 years of age and younger must be supervised by an adult at all times.
◦ Any child in diapers must wear proper swim diapers while in the pool.
◦ Members and guests are required to check-in with the pool host.
◦ All guests must be accompanied by a UCC member. The host member will be billed the prevailing guest fee. Each membership may host up to 6 guests at one time, subject to Guest Usage Guidelines
OAKROOMANDDENGUIDELINES
◦ Proper attire – Tasteful attire is appropriate for the Oak Room. Denim with no holes or rips and proper golf attire are permitted. Swimwear, cover-ups, and exercise apparel are not permitted in the Oak Room. Hats and visors should be removed.
◦Members may host 6 guests at a time in the Oak Room, unless prior consent has been granted.
◦ All guests must remain accompanied by a member. Guests are limited to 6 visits per year
◦ The Den is available upon request. A tee time is required to use the simulators. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted without prior consent from Management.
Outside of the main dining room and bar, parties and private rooms should be scheduled with the Club and do require a minimum fee depending on the day of the week and time of day. Minimums include food, beverage, set-up and clean-up.
◦ Members must register, including First and Last Name of all guests.
◦ Members may host:
• 7 Guests on Weekdays at any time
• 3 Guests on Weekends before 11:00am
• 7 Guests on Weekends after 11:00am
◦ Unaccompanied guest accommodations must be made with the professional staff and are at their discretion.
◦ The host member is responsible for the conduct of their guests.
◦ Professional staff has the discretion to amend these policies based on availability.
DRIVING RANGE
◦ Opens 30 minutes prior to first tee time.
◦ On Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday, all practice facilities will be kept open until dusk.
◦ On Thursday and Sunday, all practice facilities will close at 5:30pm.
◦ Practice balls are to be used on the Driving Range only.
◦ Instruction outside of the UCC Professional Staff on Club property is not permitted.
◦ Men: Men may wear pants or shorts of reasonable length. Shirts must have a collar or a mock collar with tails tucked in. Attire that does not qualify are denim pants or shorts, athletic shorts, t-shirts or shirts without a collar. If hats are to be worn, they are to be worn forwards.
◦ Ladies: Ladies may wear pants as well as skirts or shorts of reasonable length. Shirts must have sleeves or a collar. Attire that does not qualify are denim pants or shorts, athletic shorts, t-shirts or sleeveless shirts without a collar.

◦ Tee time booking up to 14 days in advance for any available tee times.
◦ Eligible for all Club sponsored events and leagues.
◦ Unlimited rounds of golf.
◦ SOCIAL PLUS
◦ Tee time booking up to 14 days in advance for any available tee times.
◦ Eligible to play in club events is subject to Professional's discretion.
◦ Limited to 6 rounds of golf, whether 9 or 18 holes, per calendar year.

An account shall be due and payable within thirty (30) days following the date of the invoice. In the event such account is not paid within said thirty (30) days, said account shall be deemed delinquent and past due.
A. If an account is delinquent, a message shall appear on the monthly statement that the account is delinquent and that a late fee of fifteen (15) percent of the delinquent amount will be assessed against the member.
B. If the account is delinquent by thirty (30) days or more, a late fee of fifteen (15) percent per month shall be charged on the original delinquent balance of the account as of the date said account is delinquent. Such interest shall continue on the delinquent account
until payment has been made in full. Management reviews all delinquent accounts monthly.
C. If any account remains delinquent for sixty (60) days or more, the member will be contacted by Club staff and a letter mailed informing them of the pastdue policy and that the account has been placed in a charging denied status.
D. At ninety (90) days past due, the member is suspended from the Club. Privileges will be reinstated only after the account becomes current.
E. At 120 days past due, the member will be expelled from the Club and all appropriate legal remedies will be pursued.
F. If an account has been 60 or more days delinquent on more than one occasion, the rules of delinquency accelerate.
1. If an account that has previously been delinquent becomes 30 days past due, the account will immediately be placed in a charging denied status.
G. Any expelled, suspended, or resigned member who still owes a balance to the Club will not be allowed guest privileges at the Club property or facilities. Guest privileges may be restored after the balance is paid in full.
2. If an account that has previously been delinquent becomes 60 days past due, the member will be expelled from the Club and all appropriate legal remedies will be pursued.
