In Port Washington, we don’t call it just a Prom; we call it a Gambol, where the spirit of playful running and jumping comes alive!

Since 1952, the Gambol has been an integral part of our Port Washington Community, made possible by the unwavering support of parents, local businesses, and generous community members. This incredible event, completely self-funded, offers each and every student the chance to experience the joy of a triumphant school journey.

Prepare to be amazed as the Sands Point Preserve’s Gould Castle transforms into a captivating wonderland, thanks to the dedication of parents, community members, and talented vendors. The theme remains a closely guarded secret until the students take their first steps down the dazzling red carpet, entering the Castle for an unforgettable evening.

We are thrilled to extend an open invitation to the entire community for a free public viewing of this enchanting spectacle. Mark your calendars for this year’s public viewing, taking place at The Sands Point Preserve, Castle Gould, Friday June 23rd, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Witness the mesmerizing decorations, immerse yourself in the Gambol’s magical ambiance, and be part of Port Washington’s cherished traditions.

Please note that the viewing concludes at 4:00 p.m. sharp to allow the dedicated committee to add the final touches, ensuring a flawless experience for our graduates later in the evening. We express our heartfelt gratitude to the parents, community members, and Port Washington businesses that have played a pivotal role in making Gambol 2023 an outstanding success!
