Rewilding as an idea already has a strong foothold in science and is being implemented in pilot schemes across the planet, including in the UK; but not in Oxfordshire. There are proof showing most of landuse is used as farmland surround Oxford. The farmland have huge benefit for food production but it is bad for enviroment due to small number of tree by product of farming. Why rewilding as an approach to look upon ? It is due to the fact that rewilding is the large-scale restoration of ecosystems where nature can take care of itself. It seeks to reinstate natural processes and, where appropriate, missing species – allowing them to shape the landscape and the habitats within. It is the aim for rewilding, encourages a balance between people and the rest of nature where each can thrive. What rewilding provides is opportunities for communities to diversify and create nature-based economies; for living systems to provide the ecological functions on which we all depend; and for people to re-connect with wild nature. The idea of rewilding is also political, and this matters. It is closely related to themes proposed by the Extinction Rebellion, and importantly it is supported by the Green party. It is a movement that is now gaining wide spread support across politics and society, locally and globally. The conclusion from rewilding is that , a starting point to starrt rewilding need to achieve by pursuing the idea of making a Nature Symbiosis Resource Hub which allow to expland nature from time to time. “Study nature, Love nature, Stay close to nature. It will never fail you. -Frank Lloyd Wright Sources 1. https://www.rewildingbritain.org.uk/rewilding/ 2. https://www.greenoxfordshire.com/natural_flood_alleviation_and_rewilding

“When things aren’t sustainable, they eventually have to stop” -Anders Ankarlid
Who consume the most ? UK Land area has been surround almost 57% of agriculture use ( the most usage on UK land). It is consider as a treat to UK which affect enviroment and nature. Why it is a treat is because most of trees been cut down for the purpose of agriculture. Agriculture response to food demand. To cope with the issue, the idea of rewilding is been put to test.

What happen to Oxford ? As we all know that Oxford is a place where most people having their high education there. (as known as place of high edu.) Interestingly, most people at UK live their life and just taking 3% of land for accomodation (all concentrated small places to places). While the urban places surround by farmland. Oxford Land area has been surround almost 53% of Urban use ( the most usage on Oxford land). While the second highest usage of land is Farmland with amount of 31%. It is consider as a treat to Oxford which affect enviroment and nature. To cope with the issue, the idea of rewilding is been put to test specifically at Oxford

What will happen to the project ? Imagine a Rewilding Centre which emphasis on recovering missing species to bring nature back. That is the first step for rewilding. The activities will include, public participation, caring for wildlife, and research. For larger scale activity, there will be search and rescue activity too.
“Rewilding is not about abandoning civilization but about enhancing it. It is to 'love not man the less, but Nature more'. - George Monbiot
On a small scale, there would have a design of a bird hide, on a large scale you will need to design a research centre and facilities to bring foward the rewilding from Oxford to another place. The building would associated with plant propagation, bird and animal breeding facilities, a small animal hospital, a facilities for visitor, field worker as well as overnight accomodation for night visitor and researcher. It is a wonderful experience about Rewilding that while it saving our world, there are so much animal and trees which create a new kind of lifestyle. A lifestyle where humans , animals and nature living together.
The programme all lead to finding missing species to accelerate the nature growth and assist people on how to adapt the way of their life in living with wild nature.

Massive walls in air-dried earth bricks and a thin layer of earth-straw mixture on the roof serve to maintain a comfortable interior temperature during the hot summer as well as the damp winter months. A reinterpretation of traditional village architecture and the use of local materials, plants and animals should contribute to the creation of a space that represents trust, identity and healing. The recently completed first phase houses the animal assisted therapy spaces, where encounters between humans and animals can take place in a familiar and relaxed atmosphere. The ensemble of eleven simple earthen volumes are arranged around a series of courtyards creating a village style atmosphere.

SITE ANALYSIS
REWILDING AT ASTON’S EYOT
14
Rewilding is an act of returning wilder and more natural state towards land. For example, by reintroducing large mammals or any other species that were exterminated locally during the earlier period. (Oxford English Dictionary, 2020). One good example of rewilding happened at Scotland, which introducing wolves to stabilize the huge number of deer that affect the greeneries at the area. Due to rewilding show a good effect to the environment, It becoming an awareness to environmentalists and people in order to restore ecosystems. Looking into Aston’s Eyot, due to formation at East of Oxford done by River Thames, River Cherwell, and Shire Lake Ditch, it creates an island which now known as Aston’s Eyot. Originally, it is a water meadow beside the River Thames with size of 32 acres equivalent to 13 hectares of land. Christ Church College owns Aston’s Eyot and not being used. Due to the fact it not been used, they allow recreational public access and having an agreement with the Friends of Aston’s Eyot to protect and manage wildlife and nature. (Friends of Aston’s Eyot, 2020) The site has a pattern of alternating history, from a low lying water meadow becoming as Oxford’s rubbish tip from Edwardian times to the 1940’s as a training ground until 1945. Through time, Aston’s Eyot naturally rewilded and there are planted environments that developed a rich range of habitats which attract wildlife and become wild oasis in the heart of Oxford City. (Friends of Aston’s Eyot, 2020) Tiggywinkles is a Wildlife Hospital Trust which specialize and dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating all species of British wildlife. All British wild animal casualties mostly treated completely at the hospital and been released back to the wild through a controlled program when they are fully fit. Looking rewilding from the aspect of nature and architecture, Aston’s Eyot resembles the nature, while Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital resembles the architecture, is selected for the case study. t
15
16
General Context The geographic location is nearby to River Thames because of the Rewilding programme. There are 2 entrance which one is entrance from land area (Landed Entrance) and another is entrance from River Thames (Water Entrance). Site Security, its hidden inside the nature which suitable and secured for rewilding research centre. The around existing building is just residential and educational building. 17
18
Sound & Nature The distance of key neighbour from site is nearby which the most far is around 1km distances. While the height of trees there is approx around the site is approx around 9.2m. According to legal restrictions, it is crucial to protect the nature reserve, but at certain circumstances. due to rewilding programme, a certain architecture solution needed to create a research centre for rewilding programme and its component. The solution might be creating building by not cutting woods and having high percent of green for the archiecture. Noise Level at site is low due to noise buffer of trees.
19
20
The access to design is important to prevent any damage or disturbance to nature and its habitat. For vehicular access , it is not recomended to site. However, with collaboration with the St Mary and St John Church of England school, the vehicle can be park there. For the pedestrian, there are two access, which by nature reserve and from the residential area. Allocation and pedestrian access need to design to blend with nature. For the water access, there will be restriction usage of motorboat to protect the habitat of wildlife. 21
22
The site condition is a grassland with the purpose for animal grazing. So , the idea for the project is to minimise land area use to have a balance between the architecture and nature.
23
24
Throughout the (long section A), there are connection between grassland on left and right, seperated by the Thames river. Throughout the (long section B), there are boundaries at the end on both side at site, which is drainage for Allotment.
25

The view is important in this project. The function of view can be used for research purposes and for other programme. The red lines showing the view internally. There are two area for observation internally, which the existing nature reserve and the site. While view outer focus to the Thames River and the neighbour nature reserve.

Rewilding Boulevard Rewilding always with the aim to make our world more wild. All the habitat play their parts for earth to maintain balance.
This is why Rewilding Centre been introduce as part of big attempt to make Rewilding a re-involvement of human rethink and react to adapt the situation and fix the situation, not just for forest, but for river, urban and all land on earth.
The issue happens when the balance been disturb by factor when we remove some component of all the element and it relates with the understanding of human to nature and how they perceive the true nature.
76
c
. “Rewilding, to me, is about resisting the urge to control nature and allowing it to find its own way. Some people see rewilding as a human retreat from nature; I see it as a re-involvement. - George Monbiot
The picture show aerial view of Rewilding Centre. 77
Oxford as Kickstarter
The reasoning why the site choosen for Rewilding Centre is at Oxford particularly for startup is because of many research resources and education network. The location also is strategic due to the river network that brings a new idea by introducing back river as medium for transportation.
Another look for using river as transportation network, there is also a nature reserve network that making the Rewilding Centre along the river network is the key to start expand rewilding to the whole UK as a guideline to other land on earth.
78
Since River Thames is under environmental agency, rewilding at Oxford is a good place to get rewilding started. through collaboration. The idea develop river as a medium to patrol, survey, investigate and take action of rewilding will make human as a big factor to be catalyst for rewilding our land.
79
Seeding the Rewilding The main idea to expand rewilding is through rewilding centre. Rewilding centre is same like a seed whereby when it becomes a plant, then it can produce more seed for it to expand. To expand the seed, there will be seeding agent for it to expand and grow. For this, the seeding agent is the habitat of the earth.
80
As the diagram bottom left tells that only 1% of nature reserve and forest at Oxford. Due to this issue, it is more relevant to start rewilding there, The mapping on top right shows how the position of the rewilding centre creates 2 axis which will both expand rewilding at urban and along the riverline
