Dalia is basically broken wheat and I often substitute rice with dalia in our meals as its quite healthy. For this recipe, boil and cook the dalia in plain water till its softened and cooked. Heat oil in a pan, add the cumin (jeera) and when the seeds are crackling, stir fry the veggies till they are half way cooked.

The vegetables should retain their crunch and not get mushy for this recipe. Add salt and pepper to the vegetables cooking in the pan. Add in the cooked dalia and mix well with the vegetables. Taste and adjust salt/pepper. Cook for about 2 minutes and turn off the heat. Garnish with fresh lemon juice before serving!
