ITERATION 99 Spring 2018 Firestation
Ahnaf Chowdhury Iteration 99 is a fire station designed to facilitate the openness of the apparatus bay by suspending the roof with tensile cables. The building is conceived as layers with increasing levels of conditioning from exterior (apparatus bay) to interior (fire fighter’s dorms). These layers are also developed to represent other aspects of the design such as structure, noise, comfort and privacy. The industrial nature of the program was played with to inform the architectural expression of the building.
