Project background:
Completed: July 2022
The main focus in this first graduate studio is street Sabang Street (Jl. H. Agus Salim) in Menteng, Central Jakarta was chosen because of its uniqueness as a legendary culinary area and considered to still have a lot of potential in economic activities. The main strategic issues that this project tried to solve are convenience for pedestrians, distribution of activities to the surrounding area, and optimization of Jalan Sabang as a pedestrian-only area
The method used in working on this project are literature studies on theories related to street, studies of similar typological precedents, then formulating design concepts and making a master plan. I actively contributed in every step and group discussions, as well as conducting site surveys, producing plans, illustations, and diagrams, and making final project report.

Designed area: 11 Ha
Tools:
Arrangement of ROW and making boundaries for pedestrian and vehicle way, as well as creating bicycle lane
Higher intensity buildings with active frontage and active function on the ground floor on the main street
Turning intersections into lively nodes and making thematic streets
Liven up surrounding settlements as a means to distribute activities by creating pocket nodes
The result of the intervention to the area is a more walkable street and accomodating to street vendors in the area. We also prepared Jl. Sabang for pedestrianization for the coming years, following development of TOD in the area.
Strategically placed nodes to break up sections of the main street for more interesting experience
Buildings designed with active frontages for a more human-friendly neighborhood
Making sure all places are connected with pedestrian and bicycle-friendly streets
A walkable and lively Sabang Street
STREET VENDOR THEME
Higher intensity buildings with active frontage on floor 1st and 2nd floor. Street vendors are placed in its designated lots and provided with shelters.
ALFRESCO
Most of the shops on the ground floor are F&B, so designated areas to eat outside of the shops are provided, without obstructing the pedestrian path
MIXED THEME
Arrangement of ROW and making boundaries for pedestrian and vehicle way, as well as creating bicycle lane, adding street furnitures
ALLEY ACTIVATION
As a strategy to distribute activities in Sabang St. areas, and making a safer, livelier neighborhood around Sabang St.

Upon observation, Lebak Bulus has not been maximized in its role as a TOD area due to the lack of integration between MRT station and surrounding area within a 350m radius, making this MRT station seem to stand alone without supporting activities around it. Furthermore, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure around the MRT station also does not meet minimum standards. So this arrangement aims to make Lebak Bulus to be walkable and connected to surrounding neighborhoods
Intervention done includes rearrangements of land zoning and intensity, planning for activities around MRT station, and improving pedestrian ways and cycling paths
The method used in working on this project are literature studies on theories related to street, studies of similar typological precedents, then formulating design concepts and making a master plan. I actively contributed in every step and group discussions, as well as conducting site surveys, producing plans, illustations, and diagrams, and making final project report.
Bulus
Designed area: 40 Ha
Tools:
Environmental infrastructure does not yet support the Lebak Bulus MRT Station as an end station
No connectivity between some of the surrounding settlements and the Lebak Bulus MRT station
As an end station with a compact, safe and comfortable intermodal transportation link
Provide good connectivity between spaces and activities within the area.
compact and connected
Making TOD areas that have the carrying capacity for sustainable development.
Making areas with character that bring benefit to the community.
Intermodal transportation in the Lebak Bulus MRT Station area is not yet compact.
Making an ideal TOD area that meets people's needs to live, do activities, collaborate, and enjoy life.
Mix of commercial, mixed, and residential building uses around MRT station to support integration of activities within 350m radius within station
Block with the concept of T-Hub or Transportation Hub. Apart from being the southern end station for all MRT trips, it is also a link for functional activities on the north and south sides of the area. Improvements to integrated pedestrian and transit facilities are the main points in the T-Hub plan.
Improvements of areas under Lebak Bulus MRT Station to create a walkable and easy to traverse area. Users’ needs for transit are all facilitated by the provision of waiting shelters, crossing facilities, and other urban furniture.
Internship work
Landscape • Facade design • DED
Project background:
In this project I mainly worked on outdoor design of the complex. I designed the plaza that acts as an entrance for this water treatment office complex area. The shape of the plaza is inspired by the flow of the water that is obstructed by stones. I also detailed nodes around the lagoon area and designed the security building.
For this project I also assisted in making detailed engineering drawings for facade design and section of the main building as well as the security building.
Tools:
The plaza is designed to be harmonious with the shape of the lagoon in the back side of the site.
Internship work
Landscape • Outdoor furniture design • DED
Project background:
The aim for this project is to improve existing basic design for outdoor space that felt had not integrated with the overall concept of the area, which was ‘Flowing’. Hence the flowy, winding lines streamlined in the outdoor design. I designed the plaza in front of the main building with user accessibility in mind. This plaza has direct ramp access from the disabled parking and guiding block. Designing the plaza was quite challenging because of the contour of the site, but the height difference allowed me to explore multiple ideas.
For this project I also handled detailed engineering drawings for some aspects of the area, like canopy, facade design, and viewing bridge.
Tools:
The site location is part of the Kawasan Industri
Terpadu Batang (KITB) Grand Batang City which is planned as an integrated city.
Designed area: 2.1 Ha
The concept of 'Flowing' is reflected in the flow of circulation in the area, using winding lines as visual guidance.
access for disabled
Designed a ramp that can also function as stairs and seating area for employees.
Other than designing the shape of this viewing deck, I handled the DED of this.
