Office Safety Guide This e-booklet is to communicate some basic safety aspects to employees who are working at the BKK office of Covestro (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and to prevent risk of injuries and illnesses related to office work. The main focus is the integration of health and safety within all aspects of office work. Please study the following topics, regarding safety, environmental protection and the emergency respond very carefully and keep this e-booklet for daily reference.

About Covestro office 1. Office access time 1.1 Weekday 06:00 - 22:00 hrs. 1.2 Weekend 08:00 - 17:00 hrs. (Only D02, 03 and 04) 1.3 Out of the specific time, all the doors will be CLOSED
2. Safety video and test for all visitors 2.1 Require watching the safety video and have to pass a test 2.2 Need to repeat the safety video watch and retest every six months
3. Meeting Room & Phone Booth: After using, please‌ 3.1 Properly erase whiteboard 3.2 Leave a clean page on flip chart and tear away the confidential discussions 3.3 Take away all personal stuff and temporary tools 3.4 Put the meeting room gadgets back to their original places
4. Collaborative Area Reservation 4.1 Served as the open area for all staff and visitors 4.2 Required the request in advance for big team event
Note: - On Friday, reserved for the activities around Bangkok areas - For extra request (van rental), the cost will charged to the requester’s cost center

5. Copy Room 5.1 Don’t leave the printouts documents 5.2 Keep the utility room’s door closed 5.3 Have a shredder for unneeded documents
6. Wet Umbrella 6.1 Use the plastic bag which AIA provided before entering into the office to prevent any slip 6.2 At the lobby area, also provide the plastic bag and umbrella holder to hang your umbrella
7. Documents delivery services 7.1 Services between Bangkok, Bangpoo & Map Ta Phut by our pool driver every Tuesday and Thursday 7.2 Incoming postal will be distributed to the individual department in the mail box
8. Pool Car Service between location 8.1 Reserve via Central Car Service SharePoint only (at least two days in advance) 8.2 Cancel via SharePoint within 24 hours

1 Key Performance Indicator
1.1 OSHA Recordable Incident Rate (RIR): Mathematical calculation that describes the number of employees per 100 full-time employees that have been involved in a recordable injury or illness 1.2 First Aid: One-time treatment and any follow up visit for the purpose of observation of minor injury 1.3 Near Miss: An observable, unplanned and unforeseen event, condition, or behavior that has the potential to result in human injury, property damage, environmental release, or other form of loss
2 Definitions
2.1 Unsafe condition: an unsatisfactory physical condition existing in a workplace environment immediately and it can result in an accident 2.2 Unsafe act: any act that deviates from a generally recognized safe way or specified method of doing a job and which increases the probabilities for an accident 2.3 Near miss: an unplanned event that did not result in any injury, illness or damage, but had the potential to do so 2.4 Accident: an unexpected and undesirable event, especially one resulting in damage or harm

Examples for Bangkok Office
Level 1 with disastrous consequence (report within 2 hrs.)
• Death • Accidents / life-threatening injury at work / during business travel • Incident costs > 10 million EUR (e.g. fire/ explosion, substance release, loss of supplier, IT shutdown, natural disaster) • Business impact > 3 million EUR (e.g. customer claim, damage from transportation/distribution)
Level 2 with serious consequences (report within 24 hrs.)
• Recordable injury / lost time accident / hospitalization > 24 hrs. • Incident costs from 5 - 10 million EUR • Business impact from 0.1 - 3 million EUR • LoPC for toxic GHS acute toxic Cat. 1 + 2 substances ≥ 5 kg • LoPC for GHS classified substances ≥ 100 kg • Product released to public areas, port, airports, warehouse
Level 3 with moderate consequences
• First aid treatment • Incident costs from 0.5 - 5 million EUR • Business impact less than 0.1 million EUR, LoPC for non-GHS classified substances ≥ 2,000 kg (e.g. polycarbonate) • Product released to non-public area
Level 4 with minor consequences
• Incident that does not fall into Level 1, 2 and 3 • Injury without need of first-aid

2. Local Emergency Response Center
Please note: 1 Level 1 incidents must be reported to the Covestro Notification Center Antwerp (CNC) within 2 hours by phone 2 Level 2 incidents must be reported to the CNC within 24 hours (recommended by phone) 2.1 In case of emergency/ incident in the office, please contact our local emergency response center 2.2 Please contact your team representative for out of office case

3. General Office Safety Rules !!
3.1 No hazardous materials in the office 3.2 Smoking is prohibited in the office 3.3 Turn off the lights when not in use 3.4 Switch off electrical devices when not in use/ leave the office 3.5 Do clear up spillage quickly 3.6 Do not block passageways or corridors and emergency exits 3.7 Paying Attention to where you’re walking 3.8 Do not stand on swivel chair; use a firm support such as ladder 3.9 Pull the plug, not the cable 3.10 Must be removed broken electrical cords immediately 3.11 Placing cords, wires and cables with cover/protector to prevent tripping hazards
4. Fire Prevention 4.1 Ensure: The sufficient sockets are provided to minimize the use of adapters That all electrical equipment switched off when not in use 4.2 Keep: All sources of flame away from waste paper containers 4.3 Never: Overload electrical sockets as this can be a severe fire hazards 4.4 Know: The location of fire extinguishers and how to work them 4.5 Familiarize: Yourself with evacuation routes

5. Think before lifting Equipment should be readily available to aid manual handling 5.1 Feet hip-width apart with one foot slightly in front of the other 5.2 Bend the knees keeping the back naturally straight 5.3 Grasp the load firmly 5.4 Stand up using the leg muscles
6. Office Security
6.1 Lock your desk or cabinet when you are not present 6.2 Not keep valuable items or cash at your cabinets or ensure it locks 6.3 Not placed any important documents on the desk 6.4 Be aware a confidential conversation on the telephone 6.5 Immediately inform the management office or security personnel if find suspicion or unfamiliar faces
