Development of a customized, professional portfolio for prospective clients and employers. Students will create a rĂŠsumĂŠ, corporate identity, stationery system, leave behind package, and online and offline brand presence. Emphasis on basic marketing tactics and eveloping, designing and producing a custom portfolio that will showcase strengths and skills.

Courses with a B suffix may be non-transferable for a NSHE baccalaureate degree.

Elyse Diamond professor

Ed Kanet professor

Jonathan Boarini is a graphic designer specialising in design for print, working with a wide range of clients.

Elyse Diamond is a design educator and freelance artist who specializes in both graphic design and illustration.

Ed Kanet has worked across editorial, publishing, corporate literature, web design and advertising.

Jonathan’s work is often a juxtaposition of many different elements, drawn, found or created for the project.

Influenced by her fine arts background, Elyse aims to create fresh and effective forms of visual and verbal communication.

In addition to teaching, Ed works with students on providing good advisement, counsel them, and handle questions about program.


Dan McElhattan iii professor Dan McElhattan is a nationally recognized designer, published in over 45 International Design Books and a key founder of the local chapter of AIGA. Dan’s work has been part of The Eisner American Museum of Advertising Design in Milwaukee, WI.

Robert Partch professor

Adam Valentiner professor

Robert Partch’s goal, as an professor, is to facilitate his students’ development in the Graphic Arts field, and prepare them for their future careers.

Adam Valentiner ia an expert in web design, interactive media, multimedia, web animation, and video editing.

In his classes, Robert Partch strives to create a “real world” atmosphere.

Adam’s classes incorporate popular topics including, user interface, responsive web desing, blogs, wordpress and more.

As a graphic designer you’ll create systems, communicate and solve problems in order to direct, inform, entertain and challenge. The skills of a graphic designer are rooted in language, narrative, typography and an understanding of markets, people, and intentions. Your work can impact on economic, political, social, cultural and personal life. You will leave us equipped to go into a professional world able to communicate, think, collaborate, and generate creative responses to any brief.
