This furniture design includes two wooden dining room chairs, with geometric shelving, inspired by famous artist Piet Mondrian’s signature colors. In order to convert the two dining room chairs into a coffee table, the chairs must flip 90 degrees from the standing position. They interlock as they are flipped and the shelving units are mirrored to give a more dynamic effect.
The beauty and value in simple variety of natural elements
The concept for Bare Paws derives from the beauty and value in simple variety of natural elements. Nature is a form in which cannot be changed, and takes its own shape, color, and design. Natural and organic qualities include; freshness, sensuousness, seasonally ripe, colorful, and aesthetically illuminated. Using natural materials throughout this space will create a sustainable environment and will initiate the idea of marketing organic pet products.

The Terra The concept for The Terra derived from the idea of tectonics. Since tectonics is the shifting of the Earth’s plates, that idea was related to the “shifting of life” for someone who would be transitioning to the facility. Throughout the space there is reflection of tectonics in the floor plan as well as in the finishes and materials chosen. Also, the color palette was chosen based upon the “shifting” of the sunset. The colors that you could potentially see in the ever-changing sunset were used throughout the design. The name “The Terra” originated from the word “terra” relating to the Earth, which aligned with the concept of tectonics.
