CONTENTS 01 As a kind of space and material, landscape, in addition to its own artistic and aesthetic value, also provides the design site and even the city with a medium and bridge connecting somethings. Landscape can be used as a bridge to connect various elements of the cities, and landscape can be used as the common carrier of nature and cultural activities. The two sides can stay in harmony in the landscape design, so that people can get in touch with nature without threating the nature, and meanwhile ensuring the sound development of ecology As a landscape designer, facing the site, I should find the "fracture" of the site and use the design to reunite what missed in the site.

RECONSTRUCTION OF INDUSTRIAL SITE WITH CULTURE AND ECOLOGY SITE : Boston , Massachusetts , America TYPE : Team work TEAMMATE : Yiyuan Zhou DATE : May. 2019 ADVISER: Yuli Lu
Background Info: The site is located next to the Willamette Fall in Oregon city. We will transform an industrial heritage which was an abandoned paper mill to solve the problems of site landscape ecological environment pollution , green land fragmentation and local historical vein breaks, as well as making people see the Willamette Falls. The design transforms the space and ecology, and the human activities are separated from the nature but remain in line of sight.
16
BACKGROUND-CULTURE ANALYSIS
The wine and beer industry has an important position in Oregon city. Oregon city has a derivative industry of beer culture.
Oregon city has the potential to develop both a wine culture and a beer culture, and the people of Oregon city lack the space for large music gatherings.
17
BACKGROUND-ECOLOGY ANALYSIS
Due to historical reasons, the natural ecology of the river bank in Oregon city was destroyed and the ecosystem was broken.
The development of Oregon city has made people experience the destruction of nature and the suffering of the cause. The site needs to restore the previous ecological environment as a new growth point of the broken riverside green space.

PAST × NOW TOUCH THE HISTORY
A SQUARE TO SEE THE HISTORY BEHIND THE EXHIBITS SITE : Jingdezhen , Jiangxi , China TYPE : Individual DATE : Aug. 2019 Background Info: Jingdezhen has enjoyed the reputation as ‘capital of porcelain’ for centuries. The old always say that there is no distance between people and porcelain here. Children chase after each other in the alleys where kilns are closely distributed. The alleys lead in all directions, enabling craftsmen to travel across as well as bearing children’s imagination. As the capital of porcelain, the output of porcelain in Jingdezhen has always ranked first since Ming and Qing Dynasty. Despite the glory brought by excellent porcelain, the historic city fails to live with the time. Many historical sites have disappeared, buried or relocated. People can only visit museums where complete porcelain are presented. However, only 4 out of 100 porcelain were completed while others were broken into tiles due to flaws. The value and history of ceramic tiles loses with the lapse of time. As for Jingdezhen, porcelain is not only a container, but also the memory and culture of the city and people living here. The meaning of history lies in being remembered. Landscape can be viewed as the cultural structure of the sense of memory of the site. We intend to convey the traditional porcelain culture to all visitors.
HISTORICAL PROTECTION SITE Our design site is located opposite to the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum. Many valuable porcelain are kept in the museum and archeological kiln sites are preserved underground. However, just a road beside, the historical sites located on our design site have all been relocated. Memories and history behind are being forgotten by people.
China
We redefine our design site as the entrance plaza of the museum. We create a narrative space for visitors by using the form of kilns as landform. When walking along the intended route, visitors can perceive the making process of porcelain, the discovery of porcelain after the deposit of time and the memorial of history and culture in a chronological order. The connection between visitors’ perspective, body, emotion and landscape becomes closer and deeper. The plaza leads visitors to travel through time and feel the cryptic relationship between the city and porcelain.

KILN MEMORIAL PLAZA When passing through the memorial plaza, we intend to constitute a narrative space connecting different sequential scenes. The scenes are presented in the chronological order of how china are made, being fired, buried in the ground and passed through history, discovered by us today and memorized. History and time can be perceived through the emotional space.
A subtle rammed earth slope with china brisks buried on the other side is constructed as the first scene of the story.
By using the form elements extracted from the traditional kiln, a hierarchical space is constituted.
Some china brisks are embeded on the slope. The site may used to be a kiln.
The other side of the slope is covered with historical china brisks, creating a moving atmosphere to show history.
The firing of making process of china are realized in such kilns!
The kilns also create various space for activities on the site.
Surrounded by hills covered with china brisks, visitors will directly sense the site history.
When I walked through the kilnlike space, I can feel the tradition as well as the new interpretation of the morphology of kilns.
The narrow pathway is a metaphor of the long history the kilns and china have experienced. With sunshine glittering through the parochial gap above head, visitors may have the feeling of traveling through time and space when looking at the gleam of sky.
The last scene of the story is the overall view of the plaza. By looking back to the route passed by, the history of kilns and china are vividly shown in all dimensions.

DATA PROCESSING OF PYTHON APPLY IN THE LANDSCAPE RESEARCH 1.Baidu poi data collection Based on the POI (Point of Interests) data provided by "Baidu map open platform", this experiment can evaluate the format of a certain region and guide the subsequent urban design through the data invocation of industries information in the city. Firstly, the geographic location information data of a certain industries were collected. We collected the data of food industry. Then collected its score on the network platform and its average price, and analyzed the correlation between the two.
score distribution
chart of number of people
The store's public ratings and prices were collected, stored in CSV data format, which was plotted using Python's matplotlib library. It can be seen that most delicious food is in the range of 4-5, and there is no obvious correlation between it and price. This may be because people do not judge the good or bad of delicious food based on the price
3.Urban space color Urban theme color extraction based on machine learning
1.To extract the theme of the picture color is firstly decomposed into the picture one by one pixel, each pixel with RGB three values project to the 3D space, then directly observed image color distribution, the direct observation with the naked eye color feeling, then extracted from the image the HSV Value (HSV (Hue, Saturation, Hue, Saturation), lightness (Value)), the feeling is closer to human feeling, to print into HSV histogram, image color comparison of three regions, then HSV values of each area all graphics comprehensive statistical comparison,To the city color has a direct impression. 2.Use the Kmeans clustering algorithm of unsupervised learning in machine learning to cluster the image colors of each region, form 7 theme colors for each graph, and then print the theme colors of all images in each group in their respective two-dimensional space to obtain an intuitive feeling of theme colors. Each point in the figure represents an industry classification, and the line represents the distance correlation. The more lines on two points, the heavier the color is, which proves that the two points are closer and the relationship is closer in plane geographic space.Through such analysis, we can learn the rules between the distribution of industries, so as to have a more reasonable layout for the division of land use in the future planning.
Survey photos inside of the city walls
Survey photos outside of the city walls
The image colors were clustered and summarized, and the theme colors were extracted for comparison
This is just a preliminary exploration. In the future, the survey photos can be analyzed, and even the street view photos of the whole city can be analyzed to obtain different theme colors of different areas, which can also better guide the theme colors of urban planning, architecture and landscape design.
4.Based on GPS survey and data reading Mobile phones become the most convenient ways of preserving the research process, at the same time mobile phones with built-in GPS, and photo photo was retained when the information such as latitude and longitude, time, elevation, we can record our research route, after came back from the site we can through these data to undo the process research, also can use this information, to do further analysis.
Survey photos in muslimstreet
relationship between score and the number of people
This analysis method can be applied to the subsequent investigation and evaluate the existence of a certain relationship through data collection. For example, by collecting the landing location information of microblog and displaying it on the map, such as the characteristics of people flow and vitality area in a certain area can be inferred, so as to provide a basis for future planning.
5.Visual assessment and prediction of landscape quality
2.Urban poi spatial distribution structure Each point in the figure represents an industry classification, and the line represents the distance correlation. The more lines on two points, the heavier the color is, which proves that the two points' relationship is closer in plane geographic space. Landscape visual quality assessment prediction system is a machine learning model that hopes to train people's visual evaluation of landscape (image), and then predict images without a given score by computer. With this model, the landscape quality and spatial quality of built-up areas can be evaluated. There are mainly four steps: 1. Get the class mark of the image through the image grading; 2.Second, extract feature vectors with Star feature detector and SIFT scale invariant feature transform.3. With the eigenvector as the explanatory variable and the class mark as the target vector, the ERF extreme random forest training image classifier is adopted.4. Use trained models to predict unknown images. STAR feature detection

SPRING RIVER FLOWER MOON
Traditional Garden Design From Music to Space Date : Oct.2018 Type : Individual
There is an ancient Chinese song called "spring river flower moonlight night", which has nine chapters. When the ancient people wrote the song, they must have a picture in mind.I hope to explore ways to analyze the music and transform the rhythm and rhythm of the repertoire into classical garden space.

GRASSHOPPER USED IN ARCHITECTURE MAPPING Introduction: In September,2018, we went to he yuan for mapping. Although the weather was a little hot and stuffy, it was cloudy for several days, which was pleasant. In five days, our detailed peony hall and the surrounding of surveying and mapping, as team leader, and I think this is not only a job, is also a polish, and co-ordinates the work of the whole team and schedule, and control the depth of the surveying and mapping and rhythm, but also know a lot about landscape architecture in the surveying and mapping and classical garden construction technique.
I modeled the pavilion based on the surveying and mapping data and completely relied on grasshopper platform, which allowed me to adjust the details of the building according to the data in the later stage and ensure that the structural logic of the entire pavilion did not change
49
GRASSHOPPER USED IN MECHANICAL STRUCTURE Introduction: Grasshopper is used to refine the transmission process of the mechanical structure to form a complete physical process, which can assist the subsequent entity production process and weigh the formation process of a dynamic form. The experiment is based on the superposition of x and y directions, and finally a mesh surface is used to form a constantly fluctuating network, which looks like a rhythmic sea wave.
