Architecture is not only a combination of structures, but also an art form that can subconsciously influence people's emotional experiences and social connections.
This project has paved my path to further education: architecture should collaborate with other social disciplines to serve as a moral gaze to mitigate negative social forces. It should be a power whose humanistic care must be channeled into society. [02
After this project, I was intrigued by the prospect that architectural environments possess the potential to modulate the user's emotions. It is my contention that architecture should actively participate in the emotional edification of society, responding to people's psychological requirement through artistic means to create a more harmonious and resonant living environment.
01 DOLL FACTORY
It is the doll factory that actually bestows souls upon its plastic progeny.
This project examines teen social issues, exposing risks of societal pressure and unrealistic expectations on child development. The project utilizes Carl Jung's eight-dimensional theory to create a doll factory that generates dolls' personalities based on the expectation of parents and society. It also translates different personalities into eight architectural spaces using a small ball theory, which is a pictorial representation of Carl Jung's eightdimensional theory. By contrasting "perfect" but incoherent personalities with those those naturally formed personalities, the project transfers the architecture to indictment, critiquing flawed child education and growth pattern today.

Translation of the Eight Functions Linking Principle
These are images of eight functions, which show how each of them gets through an obstacle. MBTI is all about decision making. Think of the ball / path as people's thought process. The wall represents obstacles, decisions, or challenges. The translation of these images into architectural terminology gives rise to eight distinct typologies of space.

START DOLLS MAKING PROCESS
In this step, the dolls will enter a cube space formed by Jungus's eight typologies, where they exhibit preferences for each through various movements and routes, reflecting differing affinities for Jung's dimensions. While walking inside the cube space, dolls need to fill out a survey, akin to the Jungus test, to decide their own types.
· Firstly, purchasers can customize the appearance of the doll, such as gender, facial features, hair color, height, etc. Then the factory will produce them. Finally, the doll makeup artists will dress dolls up, and cute, cool, beautiful, or handsome dolls will be produced!
In order to meet the expectations of purchaser, the brain of the doll will be implanted with an AI chip that has a fixed personality selected in the previous step. The doll can be seen as a mature child, a steadfast friend, or a companion for the child.

If the purchaser gets along well with the doll and is satisfied with its performance, the doll will be successfully sold.

A two-week test measures whether the purchasers have trouble interacting with dolls.

The dolls are packed and then mailed to the purchasers' home for testing.
Parental Intervention FAILED
The chip's disassembly revealed a black hole from faulty typology links, likely due to parental interference.
Parents are the factory where children are made as dolls.
If parents force their children to rebel against their natural instincts, they will cause them permanent harm.
02 MUSEUM OF PSYCHIATRY
Over the past forty years, Shenzhen, China has experienced rapid development, creating a stark contrast between modern CBDs and old urban villages. The museum is situated in this transitional environment, where one side is characterized by clean, orderly skyscrapers, and the other by densely packed, bustling urban villages.
The museum with a café, bookstore, and exhibition area set within a green park, acting as a bridge between two different living environments. This space aims to support individuals facing mental health challenges—such as young people dealing with heartbreak, anxious migrant workers, and those struggling with body image issues.
Visitors can move through different functional spaces, both above and below ground, using ramps, stairs, and elevators at their own pace. Whether quickly or slowly, visitors can engage in small activities that benefit their mental health and address important life challenges, allowing them to disconnect from the burdens of work and personal struggles.

People deserve a chance to unwind and find a serene sanctuary within, a gift that extends not only to those diagnosed with mental disorders but also to anyone who is under great pressure and lacks an emotional outlet.
03 CROSS SECTION
Nature is the best designer, and it has its own design logic.
It is an elderly care facility. I addressed aging by blending Fujian Tulou style with natural growth ring elements, incorporating a rotating mechanism and expandable units for elderly social and activity needs, aiming to foster connections and a sense of belonging.

Cities are aging due to low birth rates, e.g. Shanghai.
According to the survey, the number of elderly people living alone is increasing year by year, but these elderly people do not want to be lonely. They crave lovers and friends in their later years and need companionship.
Therefore, this project is to provide a place for them to meet and interact. Through the rotating installation of two circles of living area inside and outside each day, people can meet different people, communicate in the stretchable space, get familiar with each other, interact on a deeper level, and find the lover to accompany them.
What if old people want to fall in love? What if the old people wants to play chess with his friends? What if old people want to make friends?
The elderly can choose to extend their stretchable balcony or not according to their living
If they want to socialize with others, spend more time in sunbathing, or invite friends over, they will stretch out the balconies, which are intimate events areas . If they don't want to connect with others, they will leave the balcony as it is and enjoy themselves.
Eco-friendly system：Rainwater harvesting system
It is not only the ramps, but also is the transport part of the building's rainwater harvesting system, which is used for irrigation and non-potable purposes.

Using this material as the roof of the unit can save the cost of transportation, removal, installation and supporting the frame.
In addition, this material is energy saving and environmental protection, which is suitable for ecological buildings, such as Tulou.

Each of the two small units is encased in a herringbone awning made of roof tiles with integrated photovoltaic formwork, and the solar energy collected from roof tiles is converted into electricity for rotation.

04 WORK TOGETHER
Coworking space is popular in China today, and the project is to create a coworking space that provides more options for workers to choose from.
Therefore, this project pays attention to creating spaces where workers can recharge their energy and refresh their mood at any time. For example, the main building of the podium is a huge internal courtyard, where workers from any floor or area can easily relax and unwind. In addition, small meeting rooms and meditation rooms scattered throughout the building can meet the needs for privacy and quiet work. Not only company employees, but also residents who need it can rent the round table conference room for discussions and work.
Users in these public spaces can be more energized and have unexpected interactions, enjoying more fun from work.

The area is located near the junction of the road. and there is one big shopping mall and the city park. The park of Sculpture to the west direction, and most of the residential buildings are located in the east, and I intend to consider this project as a way to shape the skyline of the city and become a symbol of this city which can be recognized by billions af people and dream to come and take a look.

In the future, such innovative spaces can help businesses attract and retain talent, enhance employee job satisfaction and productivity. As remote work and flexible working models gain popularity, work environments that prioritize employee physical and mental well-being will become increasingly important.
Hopefully, the feeling of "home" can become a trend in modern office space design, driving the positive development of work culture.
