Federal Transit Administration

Planning assistance for Putnam County to create, execute and analyze the results of an idea-fest (i.e., a hackathon) known as Project SEAT (Supporting Employment Access through Transit), addressing:

• Where and when to locate routes that will get Palatka Housing Authority and other Putnam County residents to well-paying jobs, and how to make service on those routes sustainable.

What is a Hackathon?

A hackathon is a timed event in which teams made up of both technical and business experts get together to collaborate intensively on creative projects. The aim is to design, build and present the most innovative solution to a problem, and then pitch a final concept, prototype or presentation to the stakeholders.
