Reverse Trade Show Recap

Nearly 10 months since presenting its last “in-person” member event, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Apartment Association of Orange County (AAOC) was thrilled to bring 17 property management companies and Product & Service Council (PSC) members together for its Reverse Trade Show on November 11, at Morton’s The Steakhouse in Santa Ana.

For many of the attendees, the show provided them their first face-to-face new business development meetings since the beginning of the year. It was clear by the enthusiasm and energy inside Morton’s outdoor dining tent that everyone was glad to be at the show and interacting with “real people.” That enthusiasm, however, even carried over to the property management company representatives who were unable to physically attend the show but did participate remotely via Zoom.

AAOC would like to thank its 2020 Reverse Trade Show sponsors for their support in making this year’s event possible: ADT Multifamily, Career Strategies, Inc., Livable, and Guardian Roofs & Energy Solutions. AAOC would also like to thank its technology sponsor, Arize, for providing the resources

whom solid relationships already exists. However, as politics can be very dynamic, AAOC will remain vigilant in keeping rental-housing and propertyrights issues at the forefront of our elected officials’ minds.

Looking Ahead

This election resulted in many changes in Orange County’s political landscape. AAOC is already preparing for the year ahead, ramping-up its legislative outreach efforts, making sure to stay ahead of the issues that will affect the rental-housing industry, shoring up its alliances with other Orange County housing-industry associations to ensure its voice is amplified with our elected officials, and positioning itself as a valuable educational resource to our public policymakers. AAOC will also look to its members, as always, as its most valued partners in its advocacy efforts at both the state and local levels. Get ready for a busy year ahead.
