Comedy Central talk show host Trevor Noah is the featured entertainer for this usually annual event, which is taking place for the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. While former President Donald Trump, who had a contentious relationship with many journalists, declined to attend the event during his term, members of the press group hope President Joe Biden will be able to attend. Dubbed the “Nerd Prom” in some quarters, the event also traditionally includes the presentation of journalism scholarships.

A young couple who just moved into a home they bought at a foreclosure auction are shocked to find themselves terrorized by the former owner of the residence in this 2022 thriller. Losing his home was the final straw for blue-collar worker Theodore Souza, coming hard on the heels of a family tragedy and losing his job. Now he has nothing to lose as he uses his intimate knowledge of the home to stalk these interlopers. Branscombe Richmond, Lana McKissack and Brandon Ford Green star.

9 p.m. on HIST Pawn Stars

In a new episode called “Put a Cork in It,” a visitor to the shop hopes to sell a poster by French painter and printer Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Meanwhile, Chumlee unboxes some 1912 uniforms from the Yale baseball team, and Rick examines a ukulele dating to 1919. Finally, Chum, Rick and Jake head to a nearby track to test drive a restored Track Rabbit go-kart. Another new episode immediately follows.

It’s rude, crude, lewd, silly and even a little sweet; who could ask for more from a 1980s teen comedy?
