Registration and Rules

REGISTRATION

An exhibitor number will be used throughout all departments. Pick up your exhibitor number at the registration desk before going to individual departments. Entries accepted Friday, September 17 5:008:00 pm and Saturday, September 18 from 9:00 am– 6:00 pm and Sunday,

September 19 from 2 pm - 5:30 pm.

Exhibits will be released Monday,

September 27 from 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm.

Premium checks will be issued at this time. Livestock will be released

Sunday, September 26 from 3 pm– 6:30 pm. RULES The following rules and regulations shall be followed by each exhibitor. Special department rules take precedence over general rules if there is a conflict. 1. The Pitt County American Legion

Agricultural Fair is not responsible for loss, injury, theft or damage. 2. In the event of severe weather which may cause a decrease in attendance and gate receipts, fair management reserves the right to award prizes at 50% of the listed premiums. 3. Management may close the fair any time it is necessary. 4. All youth entering an exhibit will receive an award. 5. Previously entered items are not acceptable. 6. All protests must be in writing and will be considered by fair management and this decision will be final. 7. Exhibitors must reside in North Carolina. 8. Only one entry per class per person will be accepted. 9. Premiums will be paid for Exhibit Hall winners on Monday, September 27, 3:00-6:30 p.m. 10. No premiums will be paid after 60 days. 11. Deteriorating produce will be discarded. 12. Inappropriate or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated. The fair reserves the right to expel any person from the grounds. 13. Decisions of the judges will be final. 14. No exhibitor shall be within hearing distance of any judge during judging exhibits.

Violation of this rule may disqualify any exhibitors. 15. The Fair shall not be liable for typographical errors in the Premium Catalog. 16. The Fair may refuse to exhibit any work deemed offensive or inappropriate. 17. Pets are not allowed on fair ground property. 18. Outdoor events do not have rain dates and may be cancelled because of inclement weather.

19. No food or drink shall be allowed in Exhibit

Hall or livestock areas.

20. One Youth and one Adult winner will be selected from “Best in Show” to represent

Pitt County at the NC State Fair in Raleigh

October 14-24. Entries will be entered for a $1,000 Grand Prize at the State Fair.

During Fair Week you can still buy wristbands and admission for the full price of $32.00. Credit Cards are ONLY ACCEPTED ONLINE and not at the gate or Powers Ticket Booths. MIDWAY RIDE WRISTBANDS are good until closing and are for sale inside the gate on the Midway TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, AND SUNDAY for $32.00 each, or you may purchase ride tickets for an individual ride.
