BILL & KIM SNIDER ASIA PACIFIC MEDIA

Thanksgiving Multiplied Even though Thanksgiving is not celebrated in Asia Pacific, as a ministry, we have a reason to celebrate! We look back on a year of great harvest and workers being readied for the field. We’ve been given an opportunity to take this into countries where no missionary has been allowed to go. But in this time of abundance, there is a reality: out of 895 million people in Asia Pacific, 845 million of them are spiritually lost. 845 MILLION—and the most effective way to reach them is the message of the digital gospel. It can go farther and quicker than any missionary can travel, and it does not take hundreds of thousands of dollars of intineration and travel. In fact, AP Media is doing this work for only $50 per hour, $200 per day. This year alone, our creative team of 12 people has trained over 800 media missionaries to “Multiply the Work” on the field. But to move forward in the opportunities coming our way in 2017, we must tackle a $25,000 operational deficit before January 1. As you read and listen to the testimonies in this issue would you prayerfully consider what you can do today to invest in souls in Asia Pacific? With your help, all will know the provider of the harvest and source of our joy. November/December 2016 e-Issue [3.]

The Message of a Savior...Multiplied Christmas is the open door for many believers in Asia Pacific to share the message of our Savior’s birth. Your support helps us create short films like our 2015 short film “Ang Regalo,” a modern-day retelling of the Christmas story, that churches and individuals can use in their services and for outreach. On Facebook alone, “Ang Regalo” reached over 350,000 people in one day. This year our creative team is hard at work producing a new Christmas DigiTracts. Churches and individuals can use it to share the gospel in this part of the world and beyond. Your partnership support of $50 an hour is the backbone that covers our complete office operations. This includes a 12-person creative team who produce resources and train media missionaries all over Asia Pacific. At AP Media we are committed to Resourcing the Church to Restore the Family. This is His Message, Multiplied.

Meet Our Trainers For over 26 years, AP Media directors Bill and Kim Snider have remained dedicated to the task of training nationals across the region to create culturally relevant multi-media presentations of the gospel. In fact, this year not only have we trained over 800 media missionaries, but we’ve also conducted our first Multiply Media Training Seminars in Myanmar, Indonesia, and the Middle East. This ministry is so blessed to have top-notch national trainers representing us in the field like JayR Manalo, Alena Palad, and Patrick Tan. Kim also actively utilizes nationals attending her Storytelling and Magazine Article classes as contributors for AP Media’s quarterly publications: MOMs and Men in Progress (MIP). Kim explains: “As nationals are empowered to share their stories, they build other families up to see the relevance of the message of Jesus in their lives.”

REACHING ASIA PACIFIC

Thank you for praying FOR THE WORK IN MYANMAR! —from Bill Snider—

In the past few years, the government in Myanmar has opened its doors to new freedoms, including a freedom of communication. The change is dramatic. In the three years, Internet use has grown from 500 thousand to almost 8 million. Following our summer 2016 training, each Assemblies of God district in the country is launching Media Teams. These teams will increase the reach of the gospel through producing quality teaching videos and sharing salvation stories, strategically. For $50 an hour, you can support the continued work of AP Media extending from Myanmar across greater Asia Pacific.

Thank you, Asia Pacific Media FOR EQUPPING OUR SOCIAL MEDIA MINISTRY! —from Rhesa Abante Yebra—

“Our church (Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church and Ministries, based in Quezon City, Philippians), has a website for social media. We post our church bulletin articles and the preaching outline regularly. We also have live video stream of sermons every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Social media is our window to the world. Our church aims to create content that would relate to and create an impact on a lot of people. Like Facebook, it’s a user-friendly social media and has a wide range of users today. I think our next step is developing a strategic weekly and monthly social media plan.. That’s where we lack now. We need to also focus on making content more appealing and eye-catching to our audience. Every $100 gift helps us train a media missionary. [14.] AP Media MISSION / apmedia.org.

Thank you, Asia Pacific Media FOR HELPING REACH HEALTHCARE WORKERS! —from Jundall Apas—

I do social media for Philippine Healthcare Christian Fellowship, which ministers to people serving in Christian Healthcare. I was a student in AP Media writing workshop, and since then, I’ve been receiving information from the social media workshops. So, when I found out about this Social Media Training opportunity, I immediately registered. Training like this is rare. It’s very enlightening for me to learn from this seminar because I am the only one handling the social media accounts of our healthcare ministry. Through these workshops, I have learned an easier way to do social media updates. Every $400 gift covers a day of our ministry.

Thank you, Asia Pacific Media FOR COMING TO DUBAI! —from LirIo Able—

“In Dubai, media carries a significant impact. It is very useful to many people and a very powerful tool in communicating and reaching our congregations. We use it in ministering to our co-workers, families and especially to non-Christians. I am thankful and excited to attend this AP Media Social Media training. I had many questions. God has answered our prayers bringing AP Media here to Dubai. I can’t even explain how grateful I am that AP Media is helping us grow and spread the Good News through social media.” Can you help continue to multiply testimonies like Lirio’s by helping us tackle an end of year operations shortfall ? Find out details on page 21.
