BILL & KIM SNIDER ASIA PACIFIC MEDIA
Beyond What We Can Ask or Imagine It was a breathtaking sight. In my mind when I arrived at our first training session in Myanmar this summer, I was expecting 150—maybe 200—workers to show up. To my surprise, though, God MULTIPLIED that. The room was packed with over 400 leaders and lay workers! The weeks that followed were even more inspiring as my trainers and I worked side-by-side training media missionaries in Indonesia and the Middle East. As I stood before many crowded rooms, I had no doubt that these seminars are the beginning of great things multiplied for God’s glory into many unreached or hard to reach parts of the region and beyond. Now, instead of knocking on doors to share our ministry with churches, every day more church leaders are knocking on doors asking for our help to increase their effectiveness in reaching a media-saturated culture. Your continued faithfulness gives us the ability to say, “Yes!” Thank you, AP Media partners, for helping to extend His Message across Asia Pacific and beyond what we ever thought or imagined possible. The Largest Cross in the Middle East This is what local Christians call the largest cross in the Middle East. When the 7-star Burj Al Arab was being built in Dubai the architects didn’t know that a shape of a Christian cross could be made out from a certain angle. This is seen by many believers as God’s own way of sharing the message of John 3:16 in this region of the world that hasn’t been introduced fully to the His love. This is such an amazing story of how God is always reaching out to us even when we don’t realize it. This is His Message, Multiplied, and it’s my privilege every day to take part in the broadcast. Asia Pacific Media: OUR VISION. OUR FUTURE. For the past few years, we’ve seen God take our ministry to areas of the world that we never dreamed of impacting before. There is no doubt. God is changing lives today through the power of media—by telling the stories which address real life issues that people struggle with on a daily basis in a culturally relevant way. And we’ve been able to reach into nine nations in this part of the world. As we look toward 2017, there are already some amazing things taking shape, things Kim and I never imagined when the ministry began in 1989 as Asia Project 2000. • We will have an increased opportunity to work in the Middle East. • For the first time, all of our dramas and movies are available for download—anywhere. • We will see our work expand in Indonesia. • Our focus on training workers will create more capable storytellers to share the good news in various parts of Asia. • We are hoping to see new staff joining the team at AP Media. The harvest continues to multiply exponentially. And every day God surprises me with more amazing opportunities. Thank you for journeying with us to see His Message, Multiplied in Asia Pacific and beyond. For more information about AP Media visit www.apmedia.org Fall 2016 / Summer 2017 Special Edition [7.]

Thank you Asia Pacific Media FOR COMING TO MYANMAR! —from Pastor John Behardoo—
“I am happy to be with you for the AP Media training! I am a pastor here in Myitkyina (a northern city in Myanmar). This seminar is extremely significant for us because it’s the first time for us to be trained in using media in the church. All our leaders are here to attend this media training together with our youth from different churches. We brought 123 leaders from my district to attend these training sessions. They have all gathered to learn together about media—how to shoot video, the importance of sound systems, and the need for communicating the truth through media. Instruction about sound systems is of particular relevance for our churches. We have the appropriate equipment in our churches, but we do not know how to use it properly. We are all eager to learn and incorporate what we’ve learned in ministry. I especially want to thank Alena Palad, our teacher from Manila. We also thank the team for coming here to teach us.” Thank You AP Media Partners for providing over $8,000 of special offerings this summer which enabled us to conduct our first ever Multiply Training Seminars in Myanmar, Indonesia and the Middle East. Every $100 gift helps us train a media missionary.

HIS MESSAGE, MULTIPLIED
EQUIPPING THE CHURCH This summer at the Indonesia AG National Church Conference, which happens once every five years, AP Media was given an amazing opportunity. We had 4 hours to address and train a select number of key pastors and leaders from every part of the nation about how to use media effectively in evangelism as well as discipleship. Indonesia AG leader, Gatut Budiyono said of the media tie-in with the church: “There’s an emerging awareness among young pastors in my country that they want to do something so that they can reach the young generations. “Some of our cities are not only aware of this need, but they have done everything they have knowledge to do. Some are doing well, but some are struggling. “ During this time we were able to distribute 250 movie sets of REBOUND and THE MESSENGER. (the picture on the bottom left of page 12 shows AP Media Director Bill Snider standing with Pastor Redy, who brought together a team of Indonesian speakers to do the voice-dubbing of the movies into Bahasa—the language of Indonesia. We are looking forward to going back to Indonesia in 2017 to do media workshops in other areas of the country.

new horizons Multiply Training TRAVELS to the MIDDLE EAST with Pastor Peter Dulnuan
Millions of Filipinos are working across the Middle East. Pastor Peter Dulnuan and his family have served a growing congregation of Overseas Filipino Workers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for over 10 years. These OFWs are far from their family, so it is the heart of Peter’s church to help them find community and the love of God. Working in the church gives them the skills to take the gospel to their workplace. AP Media Director Bill Snider sat down to talk with Pastor Dulnuan during this summer’s Multiply Training Seminar in Dubai to get insights on the opportunities for media ministry in this part of the world.
Q. Peter, tell me about your church, Vision Community Global Ministries.
A. Vision Community Global
Ministries (VCGM) is a group of over 300 members, primarily Filipino, with some other nationalities. We are based here in Dubai, but we also have services in Abu Dhabi.
Q. Tell me about how your church is ministering in the UAE.
A. We are called primarily to the
Filipino community. There are almost a million Filipinos, mostly overseas contract workers, in UAE. The church ministers to them. Some stay long with their family. Some get married here and raise families. We provide them a community where they can grow, a community that can direct them and protect them from things
we need to step forward and maximize the effectiveness of media for the church.

DIGITRACTS: Gospel Truth Goes Viral Thank you, A P Media partners, for your giving which is helping us produce the DigiTracts series — short video clips that engage students with the significant questions of life. DigiTracts are great discussion starters among groups. Students are encouraged to share the video with a friend and discuss the question at the end of the video and post them on social media. Our most recent DigiTract, “How Important is Your Vote” (“Ang Boto”), has had over 36,000 views and 186,000 reached on Facebook! And our newest DigiTract will be shared and used in several Southeast Asian nations. New for 2016: Over 45 AP Media resources and movies will be available as digital downloads in multiple languages. This will make them even more accessible for use in churches. Bible studies, and for personal study. Every DigiTract costs $800 for AP Media to produce—an eternal investment in reaching students across Asia Pacific with the love of Jesus Christ.
