Celebrate what a special resident Discreet Transportation Assistance does for a senior community We often hear stories about how senior communities do something special for their client. But we rarely celebrate what a special resident does for a senior community. Ms. Phyllis Fortune was one of those special residents that devoted her life to the service of others. While a resident at Tapestry House, she was the first to offer kind words, an embrace, and a short but touching prayer to any resident or staff having a tough day. Ms. Phyllis’ led others through her gentle and caring ways. Ms. Fortune was an active member of her community and most importantly of her church, Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. Ms. Fortune raised two sons before moving to Georgia in 1984. At Mt. Pisgah, Ms. Phyllis devoted over 25 years to serving children through her work in the nursery and through her ministry, “First Beginnings,” which provided loving prayer and support for babies and their families through their children’s first two years of life. Ms. Phyllis also served as a Stephens Minister and a lay pastor. Her love for children touched countless lives, both

young and old. Ms. Phyllis continued her stewardship by leading and participating in daily devotionals and sharing the word of God with everyone around her during her later years. In honor of the life of Ms. Phyllis Fortune, Insignia Senior Living is proud to offer one deserving individual per year a $1,500 scholarship to further his or her education. The scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding individual who is a member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church and reflects the love Ms. Phyllis shared with so many. The recipient of this award will exhibit the dedication to serving others evident in Ms. Phyllis Fortune’s life. Insignia Senior Living, in coordination with Mt. Pisgah, will select one applicant per year based upon several criteria, but most importantly community outreach. We at Insignia Senior Living were blessed to spend time with Ms. Phyllis and appreciate all Mt. Pisgah and the Fortune family did and continues to do for our communities. For more information or questions regarding the application process please contact Julie Taylor (770-649-0808) or Zee Jennings (770-992-0505).

Tapestry House & Gardens of Roswell Assisted Living Our 2013 Neighborhood Special: 50% OFF New Resident Fee!

“After moving my mother out of her home and trying two other assisted living residences in the last two years, we carefully selected Insignia Senior Living as her new home. Just a mile from our home in Roswell, it is conveniently located and a very well maintained one-story residence. My mother is very happy now and especially enjoys the intimate setting, the friendly staff and her fellow residents, who have welcomed her warmly since day one. The daily activities that are scheduled by the staff keep her entertained and busy, including her favorite - the pet visits. Not only are we happy that she’s happy, we feel that she is in good hands, is well cared for and we like that the family members of the residents are regularly included in the activities. We have been so pleased with our experience with Insignia Senior Living and would highly recommend it as a caring, warm and inviting place to live.”
